Heck of a fish man! My grandpa was a huge crappie fisherman. He caught a 22 incher and damn near threw it back(that’s how he was). His brother said you better keep that, you’ll never catch another that big. That fish is on my wall now. RIP Ira
They’re 20+ inch Croppie in like wise Alabama. I’ve seen the 22 and the 22 and three-quarter my dad caught. We take a trip down every spring Croppie fishing is top-notch and got some monster blue cat
Friend of mine has the Nebraska State record. 4 pounds 8 ounces. He was about 71 when he caught it in a farm pond in a belly boat. 71 in a belly boat. 😂
I had one in the late 80’s. Loved it but it made me learn to cast differently because I’m a sidearm bait caster and my lure would smack the water sometimes and I’d major backlash. Crappies used to sit in the shade under my fins.
Dude I’m glad I subscribed a long time ago. I live next to the finger lakes of New York . I love catching Crappies . Normally it almost catch and release. The ones you caught would be big enough for dinner. I didn’t go Hunting this hunting season , it was warm last month. I went fishing 6 times in December in New York State . That’s a PB for December. I caught more fish than I would have gotten Deer. Fish on Brother, your doing great. It’s 11* here in Ithaca NY.
@larryled6839 i live in texas and i have caught many crappie over 14" caught one on conroe on a spoon jigging for hybrids and it was 16.5" I was just mentioning its not as common as it use to be.
Can’t wait for the thaw. Got so many new , and old baits that I know that work. Been fishing most my life, still love your input and all that awesomeness wisdom of yours. Never stop making these amazing videos. You get me so pumped up watching you fish when I myself cannot because of the weather and such
Yes sir... in 2003 I caught a 16.5" crappie on a crappie fishing weekend on Lake Belton, in TX. 20 minutes later caught a 16" one. That has been PB since... it was great.
From Michigan and I'm a die hard crappie fisherman. My biggest was 16 inches 2 lbs . That was years ago can't find anything close to that now. All the good lakes got housing developments on them and gotten over grown with weeds.
Biggest crappie i ever caught was below the spillway at D'arbonne Lake in Farmerville,La. It measured 20 inches. A lot of ppl saw the mount and thought I had mounted a small stripper. Caught it on an 1/8 oz jighead with a black and blue tube bait on 4 lb line. Great crappie bro. Also I was on the bank so no electronics. Caught several about the same size you catching here. Have not done that since.
My best (1989) was a 19 inch/ 2lb 14oz. on Truman Lake reservoir early spring. 1/8 oz. jig with a 3inch shiner vertical jigging in the brush piles. Then moved back to MN. 16in at best so far. all good!!!!!
Just subscribed. This was awesome. I've recently gotten into crappie fishing and i am a new graph user. I've been using a graph for about a year now and have learned alot. But Still have allot to learn. I have to say those were the biggest crappie I've ever saw. Those rascals were giants. Thanks for the video. It must take allot of work setting up all of your cameras and gear to make these videos.

My old man caught an 18 inch crappie on Watts Bar in Tennessee but it was so skinny it was only 2 and a quarter. If we would've caught it in the spring it would've been a darn chode like the one you caught. Nice fish brother
I love watching you and everyone else catch massive bass, but I really love crappie and crappie fishing. I live on Guntersville and would love to put you on some slabs, nit that you have a problem catching any over there in Texas 😂
That 3’7 was Epic . Crazy Fat! I fish Mainly for Crappie because I love to eat fish! My biggest was 17 1/2” i never weighed only measured. Caught on a minnow with slip cork in march in 8ft water on submerged tree. Great memories

My brother caught a 17 and 1/2 inch crappie on Muscle Shoals creek in Florence Alabama. He caught it on a white horse head jig with spinner. We did not weigh it as we did not have a scale, just put it on the stringer! 1970

Where do you normally go crappie fishing in North Texas? I'm disabled and don't have a boat so really only get to go crappie fishing when they start spawning. I normally go below the dam of Lake Lavon on the other side of 78 from the lake. They come up from Lake Ray Hubbard i guess. Would love some more places to go that aren't to hard to get to from my jeep. I have to sit in a lawn chair so unless it the spawn i dont find many spots to catch them unless its the spawn. Would love some imput on where else i can go. Thanks. Keep on catching the monster crappie.
Im going to harvest some big Maine craps this upcoming season. Ive hooked some real good black crappie up here, i always forget the bucket on my kayak 😅. Time to eat mo fissss
Dude you mfn Rock! I've fished around the country for crappie and everything, even lived in Nebraska and caught big bass and blue cats, but my home after my military time is Ohio and constant Master Angler Fish Ohio Awards
I caught one in a pond here in Texas last year that was 4.6 at 16 1/2 inches long and I didn’t know it was a record because I’m not a crappy fisherman. I was bass fishing and caught it by accident and threw it back but I do have pictures on it.

It’s awesome to take a step back from bass fishing to jump on some good crappie.
Awesome fishing man. Most people don't catch even a 14" crappie much less a ton of them in one day!!
If your around North Texas, 14” is very common! I’ve had days that I pulled 13 - 15” crappie all day long.
Catch em on Lewisville all the time, Lewisville Lake has some big ass Crappie in it bet there's some 4 lbers.
You need to move, 14" is common here in Texas. We catch lots of them.
