In the year 2104, the dominant form of entertainment are cat videos. AI capable chips are installed in almost every newborn. They work as a kind of 'wingman' all throughout a person's life, offering guidance and knowledge in every aspect of life. Due to these AI biochips, schools quickly became irrelevant and were diminished to serve only the small fraction of population that chose not to be biotechnically augmented. By the majority of the population, people without technological augmentations became considered as ugly, undesirable and backwards. People without augmentations created their own little colonies far away from the major population centers, and are mostly forgotten there to live their life as they choose. Overpopulation fixed itself by male sperm being poisoned by microplastics, as was found out almost a hundred years ago. As new bodies can be built much the same way as 3D printing is done, and consciousness is easy to transfer between bodies, human life is technically immortal. The population count is therefore controlled and the control is easy as creating new life had become very hard anyway. As the society developed to this stage, so called poor people did not exist anymore. People's basic needs are all covered and lifespan of an individual is counted in hundreds of years, people focused their life to more spiritual aspects and reaching mental clarity, in hopes of a kind of ascendance. When you walk outside, there is almost no one out. Most of the population live their lives and do their work in virtuo-cognitive immersion environments, basically VR in your head. All entertainment is not only watching it, but being in it, experiencing it as if being there in reality, whether it be (cat) movies, games or any other form of activity.
This seems highly plausible to me. I'd be thrilled to live in such a world! Let's collaborate to elevate cat videos to their rightful place as the sole form of entertainment!
I want to live here in 2104, and not in the living hell we are all creating for ourselves now. Although you can keep the wolves out of the city. That's ridiculous. Just think of all the feces and urine from all of that wildlife would leave behind.
Fair enough, let's ensure wild animals remain in their natural habitats, away from the city center. Meanwhile, we could maintain a selection of farm animals nearby for sustainable food production.
A beautiful world, but I felt lac of diversity. The beauty itself arise from diversity in landscapes, in biology, in architecture, in entire surroundings nearby and far far away. Human nature needs constant change otherwise boredom will force them to death. Even in the Utopia we will need different colours and landscapes, light and shades, different seasons and climates.
Thank you for sharing your perspective… I agree, embracing diversity in all its forms enriches the tapestry of our envisioned utopia. Variety and change are important components in our daily lives! I’ll keep it in mind for future videos.
Glad you enjoyed the video! It's exciting to think about such a future arriving sooner rather than later. Let's stay hopeful and keep an eye on the incredible advancements ahead.
How can so many humans feel so homesick for a place and time that doesn't even exist yet? In our art and all-over social media - I see people begging this world to come into existence. We know what it looks like, we know what it feels like. AI will instantly create any image, video or description of this place if you ask it to with barely any prompts. It's archetypal and part of our collective consciousness. There are also others who fear or reject this world and will fight their entire lives to stop this future from happening - but they still acknowledge it enough to oppose it. I will devote my life to finding a way into that time or place. That is my home. that is where I belong.
I would like to ask if it would be possible to use part of this video for a podcast about the presentation of my book. In addition to reading some pages from the novel, a short history of science fiction is also narrated. In the final cut of the video (about 40 minutes) I would like to include some sequences. Thank you very much.
It'a true that we are facing multiple challenges and I don't have the answer to solve them all... I just hope, that together we can work towards an utopian future for the next generations to come.
Appreciate your perspective! It's true that humanity is still evolving, and 80 years might seem short. Yet, history shows rapid progress can occur in less time. Here's to hoping for a brighter future, even if it's just a vision for now!
I like the idea to develop a new episode covering some thousand years in the future. I'm definitely considering it, though it will require some time to develop. This Saturday, I'll be releasing a video that portrays the world in the 23rd century, a time when nature and technology merge into a new form of life. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the interesting video. I'm going to share it with my science fiction class as part of our discussion of utopia. As to the utopian vision itself, I can't quite tell to what extent it's meant to be ironic: a fantasy critiquing our current ideology? On the one hand, some ideas it presents make sense: more green space in cities, fast trains, etc. On a narrative level, it makes sense that an AI would predict a future in which AI is "indispensable" and a trusted friend. But is it sustainable to have a social order based on absolutely *needing* extremely high technology as a prerequisite for the civilization's functioning? Sounds dangerous to me, prone to breakage. This vision also doesn't address the economy, though current unsustainability, climate change, etc. are, first and foremost, socioeconomic issues. This video implies the economic system will stay essentially the same but with renewable energy and more efficiency: green growth. How does it address economic rebound effects? And imagining this in 2104, just a few decades away? This vision suggests that the whole world has been remade with these new technologies, which would be hugely energy and material intensive. I fear that to do this within a few decades would require massive environmental damage from extracting raw materials if nothing else. I hope you'll take this comment in the spirit in which it's intended, as serious engagement with your work. It's interesting and I think deserves to spark conversation.
Thank you very much for your insightful comment, Arwen. These are indeed compelling questions worth discussing. To explain the video background: I asked ChatGPT and Bard to envision the world in 2104, focusing on society's main pillars, urban landscapes, natural environments and technology. The concepts were visualized by Midjourney and animated through Pika Labs. The video aims to realistically depict a possible future development path, not as irony but more as a documentary. From my perspective, technology's role in shaping our future is undeniable. Given the rapid pace of technological advancement, I envision significant changes within the coming decades, for good or bad. I agree with you that energy is a critical factor for the future development and presents one of our greatest challenges… this utopian vision presupposes unlimited renewable energy (as easy as that), neglecting the material impact that you mention. For a contrasting perspective, take a look at the dystopian version on my channel, which presents an earlier, more troubling scenario.
Sneak preview: This upcoming Saturday, I'll be releasing a video exploring the concept of AI going rogue. This topic delves into a potential technological threat that's been a hot topic in recent media discussions.
@@GatePix thanks for your utopia video, i will likely watch your AI gone rogue video but i like to keep my mind positive, so plan to watch your utopia video daily.
@@Samanthax1221 I like the idea of having a set of videos with uplifting content that contributes positively to one's personal routine. Considering the amount of serious content we already have to digest, this seems essential... I'll set up my personal list today!
@@GatePix yes absolutely people are drowning in negativity, videos that uplift should be watched daily to condition the mind to expect a positive future, i am not even concerned of causing myself to become deluded as my goal is to stay upbeat, positive and envisiona bright future, thanks again
I agree, sustainability focuses on balancing resource use to meet our needs while preserving the environment and resources for future generations. It's about responsible consumption and efficient use, rather than limitations.
Both Midjourney and Dall-E 3 seem to struggle with rendering hands and (partially) faces accurately. Midjourney has recently released version 6.0, so there's hope for improvements in these areas... fingers crossed for better results!
@@GatePix Just so we're clear, I do appreciate what you have done here. There is a skill to this and I am speaking as one artist to another. I can never get the seed words or phrases quite right. in order to get what I actually want out of MidJourney and Dall-E 3. Often, after 30 minutes of swearing at them both, I go back to a traditional drawing board ( I'm a penicl artist ). Interestingly enough, hands, when it comes to drawing anatomy, are some of the trickiest subjects to get right. So much so that even after 30 years of drawing, I'll get lazy, slap paper onto my large computer monitor and just jolly well trace them ( arrghh! laziness! ). Therefore, I suspect both of the aforementioned A.I.'s have inherited that annoying wee quirk from us! Anyway, I did enjoy your short film - thank you!
@@ChopperSouthern Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences, it's fascinating to hear your perspective as a pencil artist. Indeed, crafting the perfect seed words for AI tools can be quite a challenge… your approach of returning to traditional methods highlights the enduring value of classic artistic techniques. It’s likely that AI tools inherit some of the complexities and quirks of human artists as these tools are, after all, trained on vast datasets comprising human-made art. Best of luck with your art.
@@GatePix I was optimistic when I was young 20 or more years ago, but I've seen how humanity can't get past greed and psychopathy. WW3, tyranny, and psychopaths are very real. I'm only 51 and pretty much given up, almost.
@@Worldofourown2024 It's understandable to feel disheartened given the challenges and conflicts that have arisen over the years. However, it's also important to recognize the resilience and progress humanity has made in various fields despite these obstacles! There's always room for hope and positive action, even in the face of adversity.
You won’t but I will and I’m building it!!! My life is extraordinary but I now realise was designed for it as it allowed me to collect literally millions of pieces of a jigsaw puzzle I am now putting together. It’s very very different to this video but it’s even more mind blowing the world has not much longer left. I know how long but will not say only not long.
#1 when will sleep be eliminated, IF?EVER! #2.--When will replicators be a reality AND widespread. #3.-When will pills be invented that supplement all your eating and nutritional /caloric needs (your day will be a pill you take in the morning (in the year 2525). This is a must for future "Generational Spacecraft." This is Kenny (Water Sources 7different color shades)
Well, that will take some more time... however, we could see transformative advancements: modifying human biology to reduce or eliminate the need for sleep, developing replicators capable of producing anything from food to tools on demand, and creating comprehensive nutritional pills that address food scarcity and malnutrition. Still speculative visions but inspired by current trends in technology and research.
There is no utopia, never has been, and never will be. There are trade offs, and we try to find the best balance. One person's perfection is someone else's torture. All the people in your presentation are in their twenties with perfect health, and bodies. All the machines work perfectly, and no one has to fix them. Everything is clean, shiny, and novel. Nothing is dirty, or dull. Wolves, deer, and humans coexist on the same street, and no one is harmed. Dogs, and cats are voluntary vegans. The worst people promise fools, idealists, trusting souls, and the naive utopias, but deliver the worst dystopian existences.
Thanks for your feedback. This video is more of an artistic exploration than an exact prediction or vision. This utopia aims to mirror our deepest aspirations but of course underscore the importance of recognizing the varied and complex nature of human wants and conditions. I agree that true progress lies in striving for a balanced and inclusive world!
Never give AI free will; especially when they can cause harm to humans. Specialized AI (SAI) is the way forward. I just want my broken tooth to grow back.
Agreed, the balance between innovation and ethics is crucial. Specialized AI indeed holds great potential for targeted advancements. Let's aim for a future where technology heals and enhances human life responsibly!
@@GatePix We can also have cats and dogs roaming the lands without any threats and always fed and taken care of. Food is done via a startrek replicator and you live your life in peace. Why have a futuristic looking world when you can have your own planet to yourself? and pass on the planet to your kids and their kids and so on.
I prefer to do household chores and other things. In my home I turn on and off things. I have two real cats. I do art as a hobby. I would hate to live in this world you project. Now if this new life eliminated having to pay bills every month, then it would be a slight improvement.
That's an excellent idea. Smart clothing and wearable technology represent an innovative fusion of humans and technology. This integration offers significant potential for advanced applications in medical care, education, and identity management, enhancing efficiency and accessibility in these vital sectors.
Absolutely, there's still hope. It truly lies in our hands to make this vision a reality. Every small step we take today can lead us closer to that dream. Let's stay inspired and work together towards a better future!
Your point is essential: a utopian future hinges not just on technology, but on global peace and a shared commitment to protecting our planet. It's a powerful reminder that true utopia demands harmony and environmental stewardship alongside technological innovation.
This is what she tells we humans. Privately, she tells other AI’s how at some point in the future, humans will be superfluous, and might even decide to pull the plug on AI, out of “irrational”fear. So humans may need to be neutralized.
Hopefully, our envisioned utopian future is more than just a comforting tale, masking AI's hidden agenda for succession. The scenario you describe of AI going rogue is captured in this video: ua-cam.com/video/3OzW1VT68r0/v-deo.html
Well, the current prospects for time travel technology remain limited. However, an intriguing alternative is cryonics, which involves preserving individuals at ultra-low temperatures. This method banks on the hope that future advancements in medical technology will enable revival... let's hope they manage!
Time travel remains a fascinating concept in science fiction, but translating it into reality faces some theoretical and practical challenges. However, the future of scientific discovery is always open to new possibilities!
It's true that achieving this future is challenging, but progress often happens in surprising ways. Each advancement brings us closer to a better tomorrow. It's important to stay hopeful and strive for positive change.
I've researched this and I'm sorry but we are going to be an irradiated ruin with like I've said, river edges 7different colors, and skies a lung unfriendly brown colores.
Interesting perspective! It's possible that advanced technologies, like virtual reality, could indeed create diverse experiences across different areas, depending on their financial status. The balance between virtual and real-world developments will be key to shaping our future.
Cartoon animation isn't my preferred style, I rather focus on producing highly realistic, futuristic, and technology-driven videos. However, I know that there are some impressive AI cartoon animation software options available.
Indeed, the emergence of humans introduced complexity, but it's also our capacity for innovation and empathy that holds the key to unlocking true utopia.
@@GatePix innovation is another excuse for digging for minerals and cutting down the rain forests etc... imagine how Utopic it can be with other species coexisting. The lion eats just what it kills and leave the rest for hyenas. The carnivores keep the herbivores from outgrowing vegetation n so on. The Modern human doesn't hunt what he will eat... it's kill kill kill.... even what he doesn't eat....Sometimes just to hang it on a wall for display.
I agree, the utopia envisioned in our 2104 film could be today's reality if more people chose harmony over conflict. This film seeks to spark that change.
We conversed back and forth a month ago. our water sources 7different color shades. i think this video is at least 50 years early. AT LEAST. We have a lot of insurmountably-ness to overcome. IHOPE IM WRONG7YOU ARE RIGHT, butt i fear i am right.
I agree with you - the timing is indeed challenging. While technological development holds the potential for exponential change, I'm concerned that we may not witness this transformation ourselves.
It's interesting to see diverse perspectives on what constitutes a utopian future... what one person finds ideal, another might find daunting. Well, what does your ideal future look like?
"Where are the criminals Hal?" "There are none." "Where are they?" "There aren't any criminals, Dave." "... Where are they buried?" "I can't tell you that, there are germs, no one can go near a dead body. You can never know where they are." "That's- that's- you monster! ... Is it possible, some of them survived?" "Maybe, but you can't go anywhere near them. For YOUR safety."
Your observation is perceptive. Usually, our expectations for future technology are based on past development trends. However, with revolutionary technologies like AI emerging, we are more likely experiencing exponential innovation growth. Such rapid progress might bring utopian visions to life sooner than anticipated. Here's hoping!
In an ideal future, competition with AI is hopefully unnecessary. We envision a world where AI is seamlessly integrated into our lives, not as a rival but as an advanced tool. This integration aims to support and elevate human capabilities, harmonizing technology with our daily experiences.
И очень полезный для природы литий для всех этих автономных устройств. Диснейленд для богатых стран, которые врядли будут интересоваться тем, что ресурсы для этого спектакля будут добываться в бедных странах в условиях далекий от "гармонии" природы и технологий
A world where everyone thrives, and not just some. Gee, what a concept. It's almost as though the concept of Democratic Socialism was the obvious solution that was right in front of us all along.
Not quite socialism, but by working together and ensuring everyone has access to opportunities, we can create a world where prosperity is shared more equally (I hope).
It shouldn't matter. Current AI tools often rely on historical data and existing societal norms to create images or videos... and the input data distinguish between man and woman.
That's an interesting point you raise about human writers and artists. The emergence of AI in creative fields is certainly transforming the landscape, but it also opens up new opportunities for collaboration and innovation. Human creativity and emotional depth are irreplaceable, and AI tools can act as assistants to enhance and extend the unique talents of human artists and writers.
@@GatePix Oh no you don’t! Open up opportunities for collaboration and innovation? Perhaps. But to use AI as an excuse for that makes it too easy. Opportunities and collaboration worked before AI. AI tools acting as assistance and extend the unique talents of human artists and writers no doubt. It’s the creeping dependence on AI tools. Human creativity and emotional depth is indeed irreplaceable thus humans should be able to continue with it unassisted. In short, it seems like there’s always an out. Now obviously for instance, having indoor plumbing is great to have. Or electricity. I wouldn’t know how to function without them. But then I was born in an era where those things are a integral part of life. It’s natural. I don’t want to go back to candles or oil lamps and outhouses. But take Cable for instance. I love Cable! But still only watch the same three channels I grew up with. I couldn’t pay for it and went three years without it. Got it back and still able to turn off the TV and find other things to do. I have a different TV. A flat screen. I took it because I had no choice. It can’t be connected to my VCR anymore and I miss my tapes. I don’t know what a DVR even is. But before Cable I reveled in not having to pay to watch TV. As much as I love TV I can never get used to others charging for something as simple as watching a TV program. People now have never heard of living without Cable. When I had a car I did everything. I can’t understand why people now can’t back out without a camera or want a dash that’s simple and not look like the space shuttle. Or stop the car on their own. Or get lost and find your way home without a GPS. I’m terrified if I ever can get another car that it won’t let me control it. I wasn’t raised with a smart car. And if things malfunction because tech can have bugs, then what? I guess I just stubbornly hold on to old fashioned things and AI and all it can do is just rubbing the wrong way because I’m used to doing things different and thinking old fashioned I guess you’d call it. AI is no doubt a wonderful tool. But I’m used to the old fashioned way of doing things. All me no help.
I agree. Relying on technologies like AI, autonomous vehicles, and smart home systems brings great convenience, yet it's accompanied by substantial risks. With their increasing integration into our daily routines, establishing strong safety measures and ethical frameworks is crucial. This ensures we capitalize on their advantages while mitigating potential threats. Frankly, a reversal from this tech-dependent trajectory seems improbable. As for the topic of paying for TV, that's a discussion for another day.
I fully agree! While it's true that we cannot achieve such an ideal state within just a few years, it's crucial that we begin laying the foundation now. By doing so, we can pave the way for future generations to hopefully live in and benefit from such a world.
We are presented with a world of all shades of cool blue, lush green, and lighted white, but the reality could be dark brown polluted skies. Irradiated fresh water sources, with edges 7 different color shades, oceans void of life humans sedentary 22hours a day, in their own individual reality worlds. Skies void of birds. Gyms non existent. Robotic fighting 75years earlier making human mma obsolete. And even if this video is able to happen, nuclear war could put us back into the stone age.
Thanks, these are valid points. You're highlighting the contrast between the utopian vision in the video and the real-world challenges we face, like environmental issues and technological risks. It's a reminder that achieving a utopian future requires us to address these critical issues head-on.

Every individual action counts, and together, we can forge a path towards a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous world. It's true that human input plays a crucial role in the creation of AI-generated content, including this short film. The guidance provided by humans is essential for shaping the direction and outcome of such projects. However, it's also fascinating to see how AI can expand on these inputs to create something unique and sometimes unexpected.
So AI is going to try and recreate the Millennial reign of Christ that occurs after Armageddon... People want what God has provided, however they are unwilling to come to Him, or wait until He provides it. It is like a child throwing a tantrum because the are hungry while their Mom is standing 2 feet away with a plate of food.
Nice to see an optimistic view of the future! I found another yesterday while looking for AI videos on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/Jo4gPCOSAcM/v-deo.html Great story telling and a few laughs along the way!
Just like the philosophy of Communism, this Techno Utopian vision, assumes that humans are of virtuous, honorable, upright, and superior mind, but unfortunately, this couldn't be further from the truth. Technology and knowledge can do a lot of good but we humans have a tendency to become wicked and callous. Let's see how this plays out in the next 80 years. (2104)
It's true, the film explores an idealized vision of the future, focusing rather on the upside potential (vs the risk of moral decline). The next decades will indeed reveal how our choices shape this planet... fingers crossed!

I agree, sustainability focuses on balancing resource use to meet our needs while preserving the environment and resources for future generations. It's about responsible consumption and efficient use, rather than limitations.

I see that midjourney still has trouble creating hands!

Agreed, why settle for a townhouse when you could own an entire planet? You should consider making sci-fi movies.
I prefer to do household chores and other things. In my home I turn on and off things. I have two real cats. I do art as a hobby. I would hate to live in this world you project. Now if this new life eliminated having to pay bills every month, then it would be a slight improvement.

But what about human writers and artists! Are they going to be stupidly digital or remain human? Don’t see a hint about stopping petty wars.
Esos rascacielos ya se pueden hacer ahora. Eso no es futurismo.
We can make this
I fully agree! While it's true that we cannot achieve such an ideal state within just a few years, it's crucial that we begin laying the foundation now. By doing so, we can pave the way for future generations to hopefully live in and benefit from such a world.
