Gosh you hit the perfect day - apart from some of the closures - it is rather amazing that the parish church wouldn't be open on a Sunday morning! Rather a sad commentary - time was the church was a sanctuary & would always be open. Really is a lovely place, just can't remember ever going there, although I'd think I must - really is a gem - shame about the old house being torched in the Civil War, would have love to have seen that, certainly enjoyed a plum position. You're doing a sterling job for England! Another one to share.
@@MemorySeekers We like to be out early (I used to!) but you forget a lot of things don't get going till after 10 - was a lovely walkabout, so hope lots of people visit after seeing your video.
I love spending my Sunday mornings being taken on a stroll through lovely old villages with you listening to your great commentry. Once again s great start to my day thankyou. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
Stunning!! Well Done! Love the Cotswolds. My parents rented a house once near Stow on the World 95. Loved it. Slaughters. You probably love. I’m sure you have been to Burton on the Water one of my moms favorites. Broadway. You are so good. Love to travel with you. Someone who shares my passions to traveling through England. Will be teaching in England this summer. Brighton or Bath. Not sure which one I will choose. Love both areas.

Such a beautiful village, we stayed there about 15 years ago at the Hotel, I think it was called the Noel Arms. Thank you, watching this has brought back happy memories ❤xx

The Cotswolds never fail to impress. Chipping Campden looks like a little piece of heaven. To think of all the people who have stood in the market hall over the centuries. Amazing. Thank you again Simon and Will ❤
Thank you for this beautiful video and informed narration. Do you and anyone know why Graham Greene lived in Chipping Camden for only 2 years in the early 1930's? Thank you.
I could not say for sure but this website grahamgreenebt.org/ says this is the place where Greene achieved his first commercial success in writing Stamboul Train. Maybe it provided him funds to move on? I am not familiar with his works I am afraid.

Yes we like to get in early so you see the buildings without all the people. At times the Cotswolds can be busy and these market towns fill up.
was there before covid .. nice little town ..would love to do a walking tour of the cotswolds one day

Nine separate posts all referring to 'Chipping Camden'. Is that somewhere in North London?

All the stories and gossip in the market hall, if only they could speak now! 😊
Why do people keep missing out a letter in Campden? We're not in North London...
@@nectafarious8842 it’s an honest mistake. I live in Canada, I have no idea what the North London reference even means. Have a great day!

👍
They still have red phone booths? Do they have working pay phones?
I am not sure if that one is working, I think very few are these days.
It's not Chipping Camden as written in your title, it is Chipping Camden, with a P.
Thank you so much for noticing! Changed.
@@MemorySeekers My pleasure. Nice video, Campden is my hometown.
