All I want in this world is for animals to be treated with kindness and be loved 💗
When we sow compassion toward every animal from every species in every corner of this earth, we reap compassion for ourselves and others.
May Compassion expand.
Thank you for shedding light on this issue. It's nationwide😢😢😢
Worldwide 💔
I don’t cry easily but this did it. So many irresponsible people and so many animals suffering because of it. It’s so nice to see the community coming together and stepping up to save so many lives❤
This place was was terribly organized when we got our dog a year ago. Checked as soon they opened and had to wait 2.5 hours before they would allow us to see 1 dog. Just one dog. Had to get back in line to see a 2nd dog. And they wondered why they were so overcrowded? All the while there were plenty of employees sitting around saying it wasn't there job to help. The whole experience was sad and frustrating.
That's the way how most shelters which they're all private 💰 operate!! extremely unprofessional!! Greedy‼️ I and care less!! How many dogs and cats they gone to kill by exclamation☠️⁉️
This brings me to tears for two reasons. First the over crowding of dogs and the people who choose volunteer to adopt or foster. I have two dogs and a cat that I adopt it from the animal foundation.
Thank you so much for all who are helping!
Why not extend the hours for "the special event"??? Makes zero sense to push people away because it's 5 o'clock!
Especially given they're at capacity 😢
Because that's the way how they operate💰💰 they are private businesses ‼️ they don't care at all how many of those poor dogs after a while they going to kill because they are overcrowded‼️
No kidding keep it going! ❤
God bless those foster families!!! ❤❤❤❤
SO SWEET OF ALL THESE FOSTER PARENTS............GOD BLESS THEM ALL
YES, YES, YES. KEEP ADOPTING! KEEP FOSTERING!! KEEP TRYING!!! SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERY ONE OF YOU❤️❤️❤️
Poor doggies, I hope each one will be cared for🙏👼💫
So glad that so many dogs got out of the shelter! I hope every one of them make it permanent and that more are able to get out. Glad they are waiving fees for people at the end of the day if you truly want to help please take a dog home and work with it to make it part of your family. Blessings to all and hope they update
Wow! That is great news! I am glad people stepped up and very glad to see more news about this! Thank you!
So what measures were taken to make sure that the puppy mill is shut down for good?
How do we clear out puppy mills permanently in the future?
I love animals but breeding purely for profit has to stop and only be done by those certified to do so. Costs of having furry children are as much as the real thing so now more than ever its a massive responsibility to own a pet.
food prices for animals isnt cheap, when the government stopped pumping oil gas prices shot up and so did the cost of production/food.
A small bag of bull buffalo dog food is 14 dollars last my 2 girls a month that is a lie
The big bag is like 18
I have a 6 pound chihuahua 15 pound Datsun
@@joeburch9220 You have small dogs, Einstein. Think of how much it costs for someone with a Rottweiler or GS. 🤦♀
The main issue is people not fixing their pets, breeders, people who buy. There's just so many dogs and not enough homes. It's out of control and a human caused issue
So many good people. Thank you!
If apartments wouldn't charge so much for animals un apartments nore people would be able to afford them
Agree, that and HOA. BUT too many animal owners are clueless on proper care. Apartments with animals left alone will bark.
@@allesasmartI live in an apartment, neither one of my dogs bark when I'm gone.
Many apartments don't take pets. That's a shame, and charging someone crazy rent just because someone wants to bring their pet with them is just plain wrong.
That's because people let their pets destroy the apartment. Landlords have to deal with piss soaked carpet, feces, chewed up doors, scratched paint, etc. It's the people who don't train their pets or give them outlets for their energy which becomes destructive who cause the increase in costs.
Glad to see the community stepping up. I got my current dog from the animal foundation 12 years ago. I was hoping they would stop being a kill shelter but I’m still trying to understand why they keep running out of space? It’s a huge facility and maybe it needs better management and over site from the county/city.
Wow what a wonderful and fantastic response from the public to help all these wonderful precious dogs❤❤❤
Fabulous results and bravo to adopters. Shut down backyard breeders and puppy mills .Outlaw sales of pets online ,in newspapers or at stores. Pass laws about licensing pets or big fines and stiff penalties for abuse or abandonment. And free neutering vans sent out to poor neighborhoods with incentives for complying.
Yes yes yes you are spot on. Backyard breeders puppy mills why are there no laws. They only have dollar signs in their eyes.
@@Bella-zh1me There are laws, but they are not enforced. My state is the worst when it comes to backyard breeders and nothing is done about it, although there are laws. Craigslist is horrible about allowing these scum to sell pets online. I flag them, but they keep reposting and Craigslist does NOTHING about it. I emailed them about it and no response.
Yes!
👍👍👍👍
Couldn't have said it better. There's an overwhelming sea of dogs coming in to shelters and abandoned on the streets. It's unmanageable and trying to house them all or euth'ing is not the solution. Need to address the root cause
All those folks that want a free Frenchy lmfao
They better do their due diligence. ❤
And selling them on Craigslist
I just got this haha, from that house that got raided😭😭
A lot of good people out there, thank you go those fostering and adopting.
If you keep lowering and waiving fees, the dogs will be connected to homes easier.
Hope they are all well cared for.
They want‼️💰 because they are private shelters! And for them this is a business‼️ No Help for free🤬
Wow! This is amazing.
Thanks Guys for saving cute friend 🐕🤗🙏🙏🙏❤️💖🌹🌺
Thank you ❤🙏🏻
Did you do home/ vet checks ?? People just probably want a free dog... or a French Bulldog to breed. Should never give the animals away for free.
Right. A lot of those “helpful adopters” looked like they would have normally been turned away.
People are surrendering dogs partly because of the high cost of Veterinary care. Its become unaffordable for many. Need more ways to access free or sliding scale programs.
I hope the people are screened😢
Great,people! 😊
That is wonderful ❤❤❤
God Bless you all!!! Wish I could help, but I have no room, and have 3 dogs already :)
That’s so awesome !! ❤
Happening across USA yet states let too many people keep breeding more and no affordable spay/neuter options
We have spay/neuter options for low income people but they don't bother using it! They want intact dogs so they can breed them and sell them for money - and some of the conditions those dogs are in are awful.
@@catherinelw9365 I agree breeding is a problem and the affordable spay and neuter programs aren’t easy to find for the people who do want to not have to pay $300 to spay your dog
🙏🏾
No so many animals are going to shelters because low cost spay and neuter programs have disappeared and people have stopped spending the money they have on doing that because they can’t barely afford to feed themselves much less afford to take their pets to the vet. The price of veterinary care has quadrupled in my area and I have had to forego getting my dog care especially since they took half my income and I am permanently disabled and lost my health insurance. I have never been struggling so much and I may end up homeless with my pet soon. But our celebrities are doing great.
God bless those dogs and the people may they find a good companionship. I wish I could take one but i already have two.
It was busy because everyone wanted the French bulldogs. If they didnt get a ton of them from a hoarding situation, no one would have come. I mean, really....
Because this government sucks making lives worse
I love this, people are amazing.
What a wonderful story. I cried thru the whole thing. I do have a question: why on earth did they not stay open later to get everyone thru there to get a dog? Was it really that important to close on time? Where are their priorities? If I was an employee there I'd work OT for free if it meant the dogs could go to a foster or permanent home.
Good for all these folks and thank all of you.
If they have that many people standing in line to foster and adopt they should remain open 24 hours if needed until every dog there is safely fostered or adopted . Good looking out people I love seeing this .
It sucks that we cant take every one of them home! We need a community of people who can take in these animals, not just a few people. You don’t want to hoard animals, but give them the space and attention each and every one of them needs. I know, easier said than done. It takes money and time, and most of the people who truly care have neither the money or the time because they work 9-5.
They want a French bulldog for nothing.
Wow wow wow! 🐕
Keep your shelter open!!! I'm a person that rescues in m.t. I would sleep there, and keep going! Can't do that? THEN stop complaining.
To the lady saying the animal that she bonded with was gone...you did not interact with them!!! My last dog I adopted was at the bottom- rock bottem of the list. The first two where out with medical issues. I choose 3 to interact with... one hated music on the radio and would attack you while drive- hard pass. The other was ADD. But the staff was surprised that he didn't charge the windows of the room to attack passers by. I'm guessing extreme protection issues. I'm pack leader, my pack respects that. Last, the one I pick on a lark...my perfect dog. She reminded me of my first dog in so many ways. She is my second best dog, nothing surpass my first.
So I am saying do not judge a dog before you meet and interact with them for 20 to 30 minutes at a minimum
This is an avoidable problem. Fix your pets, adopt dont buy etc. There's an overwhelming sea of dogs coming in to shelters and abandoned on the streets constantly. Yet people keep producing more and more and others support them - even though it's costing animals lives, health (pyometra, mammory gland tumors), other people's money (taxes, donations, volunteers). Its beyond crisis level. It's unmanageable and trying to house all of the poor dumped animals or euth'ing is not the solution. Need to address the root cause. Spay neuter. Adopt dont shop. Save a life
Hopefully many people, came back and tried again.
Awesome
How can I get a few
Again, when are we going to require a license to own a dog or cat?
Stories like this are literally constant, from almost every city in America.
But 50% of people think it’s “mean” or “unnatural” to spay or neuter their pets.
So they dont, then they say stupid crap like, “you need to let them have at least one litter so they can be happy”.
THAT is what creates the problem in the first place.
If we required a license to own a pet, then you would be in serious trouble if you were suddenly responsible for creating yet another unwanted litter of pets that are going to end up in the shelter.
Why do so called “dog lovers” refuse to stop creating unwanted pets? It’s selfish. They just like playing with cute little puppies to make themselves feel good, but then the dogs end up homeless.
Some have had a free adoption day ❤️
Asher house where are you!!!
We don’t need Asher House, we need many Asher Houses!
He could help
The only reason everyone is there bc they want the Frenchie that it
Bc those goes for 3000 to up
Good
Cool
poor babies. Please don't send them to South Dakota.
😄
Lmao they all there cause the frenchies 😅
😠🤢😠👿😍😍😍
Lady you can’t bond with a dog you don’t visit
People also need 2 know after COVID you have 2 show up at 9 am or at 8:30 get n line cause you may not get the dog you want
It’s also a kill shelter they also don’t say it on the mews
I hope those people really treat them with love and care about them. Not every person is nice or treat well those poor innocent souls after they adopt them. A few weeks ago, someone adopted a dog from another shelter just to kill her, put her in the bag, and threw her in the river .
I saved my 2 girls last year from this horrible place I was there at 8:45 am the lady behind me showed up at 9 am missed her dog
Very sad.
It is a kill shelter also you should say that also when they waive the fee they kill the dog
Things are getting way too expensive I took a shit the other day and my bank account went -$6
You can’t get out of line n the 100 degree heat cause you lose spot so you can’t drink water unless you want 2 hold it 4 2 hours open at 11am
Animal foundation is a horrible place n Las Vegas it’s depressing when you go there
If these idiots put this much effort into helping homeless, get off the streets, things would be a hell of a lot better in Las Vegas. People wake up dogs over people I don’t think so.
One doesn't have to do with other except both are man made problems.
Do *you* or just rant?
None of the dogs are addicted to drugs !
Human beings can help themselves, plenty of resources out there but most don’t want help. Animals on the other hand cannot help themselves and there are limited resources. I used to work with the homeless in LA and they would refuse help all the time. Animals that are domesticated rely on human beings for their survival. Two totally different problems.
This is Ruben AMEN
WOW I LOVE THAT IDEA!!! 🙏🧸😇❤️💝🙌🗽🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😃😇🙏
