I've probably seen this video more than 10 times and it still gets me every single time. Simply amazing!

As a former champion many times over of this comp and division I found the lifts to be innovative but a bit on the acro side, which doesn't lessen their impressiveness. I would like to see it less bombastic. It looked hard. It was hard. The artistry of adagio should always lean towards making it look easy.

Very, very impressive, but they're more acrobats, I didn't see one single swing dance move.

Came here after being confused by Alyenendrov Tsorokean and Maria Tsorokean @ US open 2019 and I am more confused 🤔. Isn't US open suppose to be more "swing dance"? this is more on the acro...It looks hard and not the type of dance I'd want to learn. I have a feeling they make the audience (me) not want to dance this. Am I wrong? 😕

So this division (Cabaret) at The Open is open to anything BUT swing dancing. There have been ballet routines, contemporary, etc. There’s even been stand-up comedy. If you’re looking for examples of great West Coast Swing, you want the Classic or Showcase division.
If you want to see swing that’s more in the “I wanna do that” range, check out Jack and Jill competitions. :)
