The part of the motorcycle that I should NOT have BROKEN! [S7-E75]

  • In this part of crossing the Cameroon - Central African Republic border, I get myself into trouble. The rain made some stretches of jungle very, very slippery, and I crash hard. I can't believe that the start button of my motorcycle broke off in the crash!! Everything adds up, and I end up riding in the jungle in the dark still... I need to find a place to stay the night QUICK!

I was born and raised in Africa. I left Africa when I was 25. I’m now 47. I’ve lived and travelled around the world in 13 countries for the last 22 years. Europe, North America, and Asia. Everywhere I go, and I really mean everywhere, Everybody talks about how backward Africa is, and how stupid the people are. They talk about Africa been this hell hole. They make so much fun of Africa. Many people don’t know I’m African because I’m not black, but it hurts me so much to my core that the people of the world most of them anyway, don’t know the true hearts of African people and how 99% of them are so kind, helpful and pleasant. Watching this video makes me proud but at the same time hurt.❤

I find that sad to hear. I’m British, have travelled to every continent (except Antarctica) and live in Asia. I have never felt anything close to the feeling I got in Africa anywhere else. It was a sense of being where I was supposed to be. From the animals to the people to the red earth, I loved my time there and have told my 7 year old daughter all about it and we plan to visit together one day. The hard part is choosing where as there are so many countries I wish to see. Be rightly proud.

@@lf1496 I confirm what the other commenter said that the fellow did not fix the switch. However, he did something at least as valuable in the circumstances -- he took a look at this bike that was a type he surely never saw before, and after briefly attempting to reinstall the broken-off switch button, he assessed that it was not easily going to go back into place. But he understood the principle of the thing and figured out that all that was needed was a pointy object to poke the internal switch mechanism, and that would get Noraly going again. So a good solution given the conditions, and prospects for a better fix when Noraly gets to a town.

I lived in Oregon a short time but I loved it but I grew up in California and in 78 I went to Oregon and left around 1980 and I worked at FMC making box cars along the Willamette River I really miss that job but when Reagan came into office I couldn't get a job washing dishes so I was forced to go back to California and work for my father but it gave me a new life and a new experience but after struggling most of my life I finally own a home in Apple valley California and I thank God everyday that I'm still alive and living pretty good God bless our world 🌎 God bless America in God we trust in Jesus name amen

@@pamelaroberts-aue7984so here's another story my sister lives in Washington and she moved there around the beginning of the seventies and she bought this fairly new house for 37,000 unbelievable and now to buy a house a fairly decent one you're looking at paying over $500,000 it's just unbelievable the life we live in this country now it's impossible for a regular family to make it on only one person working in the household so I met a pretty good woman and when I moved up to Apple valley she paid off our house in 2020 and a doctor killed her and the medical board of California does absolutely nothing but what she left me was a house paid off and the money I get with social security and her money too because of her death I have to thank God everyday for what I have oh and another thing way back in the seventies when I was up there I drove in some places on the Washington side that blew my mind and I always wish that I could have traveled everywhere in Washington state because it's so beautiful there but also Oregon has some beautiful places to hopefully before I leave this earth I'll have a chance to go there again God bless in Jesus name amen

Here come the Marines....you make me smile with your guts and sweet disposition. I have the Carmelites here praying for your safety and well being...for your subscribers as well. The Carmelites here are mostly from Kenya and the most true blue of nuns, not the bum kind. I told them you love Africa and are an ambassador for the kind souls you meet there. Lovely video, Noralee. Au Revoir! I copied and pasted this particular video to the nuns.....wow!
