    I recently combed out my locs. It’s definitely a relearning process styling my loose natural hair. Currently, my ends are jacked up, but I’m gonna clip them every 2 months until they are healthy again. This is the longest my hair has ever been, so I’m not trying to big chop 😣😣😣

      congrats on your new journey! 🙌🏽 my ends were messed up too after combing out my locs, definitely don’t big chop if you don’t have to.

    Boo you don't need long hair...Your face is gorgeous. The short style accents your beauty so enjoy it at every length.

    I'm combing my locs out atm. It's taking me 1-2 hours each 😅, and I have a 100. Being a mom I only manage 1 or 2 a day. This is going to be a long process.
    It's exciting to see more and more of my loose hair as I go. And combing them one by one gives me a great opportunity to see all the different textures on my head. But yes, my neck hurts like hell 😭
    Your message in this video is valuable. Enjoy where you are at at any time. There truly is something special in every phase you go through.

      wait i’m weak at your username 😂 but thanks girl! i still believe locs grow faster than curly hair. your locs will be long & flowing before you know it tho. they already look good 🙌🏽♥️

    I always wanted locs since I was 14-15 but knew “I like different hair styles” but it was unhealthy heir styles. So I started my natural hair journey around age 24-31 loved the length and feeling of being me but I couldn’t do all those high maintenance things. So it was to my back but started breaking. I just started my love journey June 2021 at the age 32 im at peace and it’s one less thing I have to worry about. It’s kind of the same journey to me. I’m happy I did both now I know what I like and don’t like. The chemicals to the hair period is not the way. I love my Rasta look and sometimes my more classy look. I can do that with my locs. On my natural hair journey it taught me to embrace the frizz ness, stay away from heat, and love the real me. Locing my hair is teaching me I’m committed with my self, my natural hair God has made instead of what man has made to hide it. Even though I might try the fux locs over my real hair in the future.

      it’s crazy when you stop paying attention as much to the growth, you wake up one day like “when did my hair get this long?”

    "My hair gold for 2021" is to combine my many small locs in to five huge locs😜 and I'm doing this to achieve bigger roots because the smaller roots tens to get weaker over a long period of time with free form locs😎

    • @NessaShani
      @NessaShani  3 роки тому

      @ricardogetfield9761 3 роки тому +1

      @@tamarasmith9766 I started off with free form locs and as they got longer I continued to separate them from each other to prevent the locs from becoming a twin dragon so with me constantly separating my free form locs causes the root to weaken so now I have to redo them more thicker and this means no more separating of free form locs for me😉

      I was natural for 5 years before I started my loc journey, and we have similar hair types. I'm now two years loc'd today!! 🎉 The growth speed with locs versus loose natural is a big difference!! I'm so glad I was loose first then loc'd because I'm in this loc game for life now! ✨ - Signed a fellow lazy natural 😅
