- The first time we discovered Tuz Lake, (the second largest lake in Turkey with its 1,665 km2 surface area, one of the largest hypersaline lakes in the world, located in the Central Anatolia Region), it was covered with water, about 30 cm from the salt layer. It was spring.
The next year, we saw it again in the fall, and it looked like a boundless immensity of ice, with dazzling crystals in the October sun.
