I personally believe in what both people have said here. Snape had to go through many horrible things in school and James along with the other Marauders are terrible for it, but they all have grown and become better people. Obviously that doesn’t excuse everything, but they are trying at least? What Snape has done isn’t any better, he was immature and was horrible towards all the students (not including Slytherin) when he was a teacher/ headmaster. People always overlook what he has done wrong and it’s terrible. They all have done nasty things to each other and others not involving those 5 (Snape, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter) None of them should be forgiven completely and what they did should not be forgotten. Sorry for the long paragraph and just so everyone knows, this is not hate! Just saying what I believe :)

Snape (while he was a terrorist death eater) gave the prophecy which would aid a dark lord in dominating the world. The prophecy basically mentioned a person standing in his way, whose parents escaped voldy 3 times and some other shit which lead to him knowing the baby was born around July 31st. Only 2 babies that could be were Harry and good ol Neville. Voldermort went to kill Harry, and ended up killing his parents, all due to the prophecy snape gave him. So basically… screw snape 😂
