Let down is absolutely not the most underrated Radiohead song simply due to the fact it is on OK Computer. For that title I’d go to a single or one of their less reputable albums such as You on Pablo Honey or Spectre or Cuttooth (both singles)
I listen to this song while on the train, driving, on the bus, and walking. And this is kind of exactly what i imagined the music video would look like. Good job.
So I'm the one who came up with the idea of syncing this part of Koyaanisqatsi to Let Down and for a moment I thought you just had reposted my video, which speaks to how good job you did recreating the whole sequence of the film. You know, when I first made it, thought it was nice, and then left it on my hard drive for 3 years because I considered it wouldn't be interesting enough. Only after finding it one day and watching it again I finally decided to post it in reddit. So given that it's quite nice to find out that it inspired someone to spend a year creating a whole new video in the same style.
Yes! I was blown away when I first saw your edit and couldn't help but attemp to recreate the feeling the imagery and the song created. This was a fun little project and I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
that part with the final verse and the blurry brake lights and everything moving so fast.. brought me to tears. you really captured the essence of what this song means I think. Thank you.
Wow, I don't know where to start!! I am absolutely blessed and shocked by the bliss this video has captured. Trust me, it was totally worth the 12 months. The transition in the video, particularly at 1:08, from the scene of people on the beach to the dynamic imagery of the accelerated train track... just wow. Or at 4:20, the smile of the woman was just perfect.. So heart-warming! What even are the odds to capture this?? I also love how the video is sped up. It shows that the "right now" is meaningless I love to think that the electronic "glimmering" noises at 4:42 are reflected as a thousand rushing cars passing by within seconds, giving the sense of a thousand living creatures either living life, having families, confront their own problems, etc. We are just like ants.. Life is rushing by as we don't notice I have no further words, I am just shocked by this utter beauty. Thank you
Thank you so much! I’m really happy to see how everyone is connecting with the video in their own way. Since you enjoyed some of the shots in there I’d highly recommend the movie titled Koyaanisqatsi (1982). I took a lot of inspiration from it and some of the shots were a direct homeage. It explores the themes of humanity in even more detail. Once again thank you!
Thanks for the recommendation! @@egorlitke I am indeed looking forward to that film trilogy. In fact, I first heard of "Powaqqatsi" when I was listening to "Anthem, pt. 2" in The Truman Show. I am also a big fan of Philip Glass, especially in connection with David Bowie. He's my nummero uno lol. I am not a huge fan of radiohead in fact, but I do love a handful of songs, especially Let Down has grown so deep within me
4:03 the best part of the song, it felt great that the night became with it, recently i saw a video stating the obvious that ok computer was ahead of its time as it describes how is like to live on this century, and your vid is the living proof of it, great job, great shots🙌🏽
This is brilliant! I love the juxtaposition between the sped up, wide shots of the busy city compared to the slow, almost intimate shots of the people smiling into the camera. Well done!
This is the kind of videos I've been waiting forever to find. Just deeply passionate people giving their own experience and interpretations on a song, or any other work of art. Great work!
Fantastic work, been fantasising for years of making a video for this song and while some of it is different to what I was thinking quite a lot is remarkably similar. Beautiful song beautiful images.
This is spectacular. I love this song so much and this video complimented it so well and was so beautiful it made me cry. Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece!!
I needed to see this. The song is different to my taste and it wasn’t clicking with me, I had to have some kind of experience to make me feel it. I think this delivers that.
A very lyrical and at the same time deep look at the city. A kind of portrait of a place through human images. At the same time such a very young view of the world, full of hope and seeing only the best in others. Personally, it seems to me that the mood of the video does not quite coincide with the despondency of Radiohead. But for me, this video is more than just a fan clip. The amount of work done and the variety of techniques found for shooting is impressive. Undoubtedly a talented film.
The grid is an invisible energy that drives everything in our daily life. Our civilization depends on it. Sometimes itʼs beautiful, yet terrifying at the same time. This music video shows us how the grid causes the world to move very quickly with each passing time, while our mundane activities completely shroud us from ever realizing it.
Man, when I read your reddit post that you were making a remake of the famous Koyaanisqatsi "grid" shots, I was not enthusiastic. After watching this, you've proven me dead wrong. What an amazing project. It does seem to differ from the original in tone: you don't appear to be telling a horror story.
It's phenomenal. The very everyday circumstances of the shots fit the song beautifully.
I couldn’t have said it better.
That's what makes the song hits the most for me, the song sounds like what the embodiment of an average day deconstructed

Did you pay for copyright for this? Because I would like to do it as well. Amazing job btw
Absolutely fucking incredible job mate, really did "the most underrated RH song" justice

There's something cool about Let Down and a video of cars driving by a highway or slow mo of people walking that gives me goosebumps everytime.
cuz its soo quick whilst when we walk its just slow, despite everything being so quick and easy, life is still disappointing
so beautiful

Wow. Ashamed to say I’ve never stumbled on this one as a huge Radiohead fan. Spectacular 👍
That was beautifully done. This should be the official video. Staggering work.
This is genuinely professional level cinematography. Amazing stuff.
That was perfectly shot and edited! You should be making official videos for great bands like Radiohead. They'd be lucky to have you.

Fantastic cinematography man. The whole vibe of finding humanity in the ordered chaos of the modern world... fantastic work.
This is our modern society in a nutshell, and your music video completely showcases that.

Thank you! To be fair it's still the same horror story--the focal point and tone are just different.
This video isn't nearly depressing enough. it's still so sunny and people are smiling. not at all the feelings i get in inner cities.
