London Loop: I really love the fog and rising bridge. Plus, the chain chomps in the canals on lap 3 is a nice touch. Boo Lake: Way too short, but at least the music is good and we finally have another spooky track in the game. Rock Rock Mountain: The ugliest track in the wave, but the long gliding segment and climb up the mountain never get old. Maple Treeway: A classic with amazing music and halfpipes are finally in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Berlin Byways: I love that whomps are finally enemies in a Mario Kart track plus the traffic adds some more flare. There are also so many landmarks in this track. Peach Gardens: The new Mario hedges are beautiful, and the backwards lap 3 is a great addition. Merry Mountain: I love the Christmas presents and the beautiful holiday music plus the halfpipes and the anti-gravity part at the end, but it feels short. Rainbow Road: Absolutely amazing HD rendition of one of the best Mario Kart tracks ever. I love all the added star rings and anti-gravity on the moon. Plus, the dash panels at the start of section 3 being changed from black to rainbow is great. My one complaint is the track looks a lot darker now.
I wanna see these city tracks just get completely opened up for a hide and seek style battle mode. They're less tracks than mazes anyway, it would be so much fun!
If the drawbridge in London Loop had a glider ramp that turns on and off depending if it's up or down like the ones in 3DS Music Park it would make the drawbridge SO much better
My favorite part of Peach Gardens, is that me and my sister like to make up stories for most of these tracks. So we were just imagining that in Super Mario Odyssey, when Peach leaves the castle, her garden is just overtaken by enemies while the Toads just run around the background.
The anti-gravity section in Rock Rock Mountain was much needed especially with weird physics in Tour making items in that section function weird because of the elevation.
To be honest I think the more city tracks they add, the less unique they become and the more they all just blend together. Paris Promenade is simple and distinct enough that I can recognize it every time. But London Loop and Berlin Byways just feel too similar and the path variation makes it feel confusing to drive on rather than unique.
They seem to have done most of the not very interesting city tracks first. Tracks like Vancouver, Los Angeles, Singapore, etc are a lot more interesting and unique so hopefully this won’t be too much of a problem for the later waves
If you think they’re basic and too similar then open your eyes. They’re all unique. Just because they all feature an asphalt road with buildings doesn’t mean they’re all similar. By the end of this DLC there will be 14 Tour city tracks. :)
Rock Rock Mountain is also the first DLC track to have a different name in the UK: Alpine Pass. This is also true for Piranha Plant Slide, Music Park and Neo Bowser City, which are called Piranha Plant Pipeway, Melody Motorway and Koopa City, respectively. And yes, they were all 3DS tracks.
Wait, do the Toads not drop item boxes in the Mario Kart 8 version of Merry Mountain? Players scrambling to grab those as the Toads chuck them down while speeding down the mountain was the part that made that section interesting in Tour. :(
@@geraldgreg5370 me play Mario Kart Tour! I am one of those fools who fell for the gimmick of being able to play as way more Mario characters than in MK8D without mods. 😔
Since Tour isn't gacha anymore, it's actually a decent game now. I play it on and off. Not a very deep game but it has cool ideas and its interesting to see how they remix tracks
The inconsistency in quality is puzzling. They obviously put a lot of effort into the visuals of Maple Treeway and 3DS Rainbow Road, but then Rock Rock Mountain looks like a lazy port from Tour and doesn’t fit well with the rest of Mario Kart 8.
@Frozen fire plush films marry mountain and peach garden look almost like from base game, maple treeway is SLIDLY worse that merry mountain and peach gardens and the city’s tracks are ok but they look better that before (imo)
The first time I played London Loop my dad's girlfriend was playing too and she is from Britain so she knew exactly where we ere in the track. It made it so much fun. Also I noticed that the graphics for the tracks are getting better with each new wave
I love the last section in merry mountain in online. Everyone is scrambling through and tossing items like crazy in that part. Really a mad dash to the finish
Glad to see my favorite track of any game, 3ds rainbow road, getting the recognition it deserves. Also, the music really is sooo good. I saw a video where the community ranked every song for each track in every Mario Kart game and 3ds rainbow road ranked 1st, yeah thats right, it beat every other track in every other game. Such a good track.
You didn’t mention the huge visual upgrade this wave had overall, the worst looking track is Rock Rock Mountain which I think still looks great inside the tunnel and during the gliding sections.
What's crazy about this wave was the fact that they ALSO added a custom item rule!!! Now you can play the game in HUNDREDS of ways now in really fair or UNFAIR ways!!! (Also Boo Lake in MK8D is the Broken peir version of it from tour, Peach Gardens has Peach Gardens R from tour, and half pipes are in tour as well, please don't hate me on these facts though I really love your commentary)
At first I was too to say that Maple freeways music in 8 is hard mid but after listening to it I actually like it. Not more then the original but I think it can stand on its own
The tour city tracks are the highlights of every wave! They are always alot of fun and I always replay them, (They also have some of the best music our of any Mario Kart Track)
Berlin Byways during laps 2 and 3 is a funny one during that intersection. One moment you boost through using your saved mushroom, and then get ran over by someone using a Bullet Bill, then squashed by a Thwomp.
i've been waiting for this video since wednesday when the tracks came out and i played them myself. i'm excited to see your opinions on the wave! edit: FINALLY THE SECOND TRACK OF THE WAVE ISNT GARBAGE
@@tmac_2717 Speaking of I actually think wave 2 is better then wave 3 because from my eyes the tracks that are good are Waluigi Pinball,Sydney Sprint,Snow Land,Mushroom Gore,Sky High Sundae for wave 2 and the tracks that impressed me in wave 3 are London Loop,Rock Rock mountain,Merry mountain, and berlin byways, and 5>4 so for me wave 2 is better
The only critique I have with the 3DS Rainbow Road remake is the section right after the moon. The little boost conveyors don’t make the magical sounds anymore, the tunnel looks a lot more washed out and the star doesn’t light up the end of the tunnel anymore.
Okay, most of the booster pass tracks look absolutely horrendous, so when I heard that 3DS Rainbow Road was coming back, I was extremely nervous. But evidently the team understood what they were up against, because they made it a work of art. That particular Rainbow Road has always been a leading contender for the best track in the series with the only thing potentially holding it from that spot being the fact that it was a 3DS track; the visuals were limited. Now with this glow-up, I don't think there's a competition anymore.
I like the Boo Lake remake, I don't mind them adding interesting dimensions, however I wonder if I'm the only one who really misses the falling walls mechanic. It used to be really neat and fitting to the horror that it starts out easy and gets harder the longer you race on the track because the walls that protect you from free falling get destroyed once someone bumps into them.
20:59, One small change i don't really like there compared to Mario Kart 7 was that they removed some slight sound effects that played during the last lap sound effect. It's a minor nickpick though since i still think its a great course
I really wish that the cylinder from rainbow road had anti gravity so you could drive on the ceiling to get more boost panels just in case you miss one.
The fact that they have you drive on Peach Gardens in reverse is a reference to DS's mission mode where one of the missions has you doing just that, and you can't convince me otherwise.
I'm not sure if this is just me being weird, or if this is an actual feature, but the boost panels on rainbow road before the tunnel seem to pull you towards the actual path of the road. If that is intentional, that is amazing!
When you're on a track with multiple routes that open up later in the race those routes on the mini map should be darker or something because then it would be easier to understand the map.
I absolutely love Maple Treeway! I actually played it on Wii. It's awesome mostly because of that halfpipe. Can't get enough of it. By the way, the jump portion towards the finish line I think used to have a rope bridge. Gosh, a lot has changed since Wii.
as someone who has tons of nostalgia for Wii Rainbow Road and only got to experience 7’s Rainbow Road through the Booster Course Pass, 7’s Rainbow Road is by far my favorite in the series. There’s just a sense of surreal majesty that this course manages to capture better than any course in the series, and judging by the graphical edge it has on every other DLC course, the team behind porting it definitely understands that.
I hugely disagree with your opinion on Berlin Byways, but agree with pretty much everything else, glad you put Rainbow Road above Ninja Hideaway, and mentioned the gameplay changes
I was so busy enjoying this video that I nearly forgot about my tradition (that nobody really knows or cares about, but I'm still gonna do it). Here's the Wave 3 edition: Rock Cup: Tour London Loop: Even as a Tour player, I was never a big fan of the track. There aren't a lot of interesting landmarks to see, it drags on for way too long at times, and the music is a weird choice (I know why it is what it is, it's just that I don't think of London when I hear it). That being said, it is the most complicated city track so far, so I'll give it that. 7/10 GBA Boo Lake: I really liked the remake in Tour, so it's no surprise that I like it in 8DX. It's spooky, makes you feel on edge, it's actually a lake now, and yet you want to keep playing on it. I especially love the way they incorporated anti-gravity. Also, it's the first DLC track in general to have underwater driving. Really, my only complaint is that it's short, but otherwise, it's amazing! 9/10 3DS Rock Rock Mountain: Was never the biggest fan of this track, but I do enjoy playing on it. I actually really like the gliding here, which, considering how this game's gilder mechanics work, is surprising. I do wish it didn't look so bland though. Also, the music rocks (pun intended). 8/10 Wii Maple Treeway: What can I say about this that hasn't already been said. One of my favorite tracks of all time got a huge upgrade, and I love it! 10/10 Moon Cup: Tour Berlin Byways: I might be biased, considering I do play Tour, but this is my favorite city track! It's just so fun to drive through, I like seeing all the landmarks, the traffic makes it interesting while not being too hard (btw, it's the first city track to have actual moving traffic), and the music is such a bop, although you should listen to a mashup of the original and remix, they complement each other so well! I do get where you're coming from, though, but let me tell you something: all the remaining city tracks are very unique in their own way, especially Vancouver, L.A., Singapore, and Bangkok, so that critique of all the city tracks blending together won't be much of an issue with the remaining waves. 9/10 DS Peach Gardens: While this track wasn't never my favorite from DS (Airship Fortress when?), I do like what they did with it. It looks so good, the music is really nice, and that 3rd lap caught me off guard. It's solid. 8/10 Merry Mountain: I really like this track, especially the aesthetic! The music is really good, and I do enjoy playing on it, although I do agree that the downhill section is a little bland. 9/10 3DS Rainbow Road: My favorite track of all time. What can I say? This isn't a race. It's a journey. My only real complaint is that the moon music should've been a little calmer, but otherwise, it's perfect! Beyond 10/10 Overall, this wave is objectively the best wave in the BCP. Nintendo is going to have a really difficult time topping it, and I'm more excited than I've ever been.
I am a Tour player too, the fact that you felt the need to put that in parentheses about expecting ppl to mock you, that makes me genuinely believe the MK community is a bunch of toxic kids, one of the worst communities of ppl behind the Fortnite community
@@WritingCountingOriginal You make a good point. Every community has some bad apples, and this is no exception. I was honestly just trying to make a funny joke about me being a Tour player, but the way I worded it was not the best. I apologize if it may have offended you and I have removed the joke.
Fun fact... New york minute, Tokyo blur, Paris promenade, London Loop and Vancouver Velocity where the first five city tracks to be released in tour so that's were the boring straights come from
There's a minor change to 3DS Rainbow Road that bothers me a ton. It's the sun. The sun was repositioned 90° anticlockwise and now during Lap 3, you're no longer driving into the sun, most notably on the big left turn at the end of the track. You drive into it during the moon segment, but it feels more epic during the final segment of the track It doesn't ruin the track or anything, but it really ruins an aspect of the original track that I love
oh, the 'double pipe' air shortcut on alpine/rock rock course is actually slower than gliding to the right and hitting the pipe thats NOT blowing air and bounce/tricking off it and back onto the course according to the current WR (plus in a race thats less time in the air that u could get hit with a weapon etc)
I just thought of something! Imagine if you could play some of the Tour courses in battle mode without any arrows or barriers meaning you can go wherever while battling! Courses like London Loop and Paris Promenade would make perfect battle courses!
boo lake is an UNDERRATED GEM, i placed it in S tier. so glad to see someone not bash this track for being 'oh no too basic oh no too short wa wa wa' (pardon my agression lol)
The custom items mode sounds really fun! I can't wait to try it later! Also I'm so glad they fixed the lightning, it makes the game a little less frustrating
Damn! These tracks actually LOOK good. There is actual detail on them. I hope they update the older waves so they don't feel as much out of place visually.
I believe the reason the Tour tracks are so long is because in Mario Kart Tour, generally speaking, all the tracks have several variations that change what route you take, and are only 2 laps long. So, what the Booster Courses are trying to do is give you every variation there is at once.
Fun little aspect about 3DS RR that I knew wouldn't come back but still thought was worth mentioning, in the original 7 theres a huge super jump you can do on the last turn, which you do by going for a mini turbo and then drifting to the right and then bunny hopping again to get some height, to jump from right near the slope and land either right on the jump ramp or straight to the finish line if you have TAS level skills. I've stolen so many races by doing that super jump and it was always a really intense thing because its so risky to go for, yet so satisfying when you land it, which I miraculously did often and it always remained satisfying. Also, like you said, you anticipate the turn pretty heavily beforehand so theres a buildup to that huge jump Also, there's a similar skip after gliding off Saturn that let's you skip to the left and straight to the 2nd set of panels like a Mushroom shortcut (which I usually used to do it if I had a triple) (if you want to see some of what I'm talking about look up some TAS runs of the course, theres one with metal mario in the thumbnail that I know has an even more elaborate version of these two skips) I'm of course disappointed these aspects didn't come back in 8, but it was because they smoothed the track out some more so it wasn't just due to 8 having higher gravity like I expected. I still like it more in 7 mechanically and partially visually, but I still absolutely love it in 8 and it easily makes my too 5 in 8, and remains one of if not my favorite track in the series
Odyssey:*ranting about how much of a glow up boo lake received* Me knowing full well this is just a port from tour as boo lake was in the Halloween tour: I have some bad news for this guy😬
Story Time: Mariokart 7 was my 3rd Mariokart Game. However it was my favourite game, I know unpopular opinion, however young me found Wii too hard and I mastered DS. Rainbow Road was the track for me from Mariokart 7 that I loved playing the most, it was my final boss. I remember the time I just edged out a Rosalina to get the Mirror three star W after a really wonky race where everything went wrong. I was ecstatic. When I was in year 8, I played Rainbow Road for the last time as my 3DS would stop working after purchasing it in 2011. I was devastated as my favourite track was gone. Then watching that Nintendo Direct in 2022 and seeing my track get announced as a DLC I was excited. Then it dropped and when I played it and the music filled my room, I felt like a little boy in year 2 playing it for the first time again in 2011. Me, 19 and graduated school finally playing my favourite track again. I shed a tear when the N64 theme started on Section 3. I felt happy. Thank you Nintendo.
I think it'll be dope to have holes in the spinning cylinder section of rainbow road like that Run 2 ice skating game. But overall that track is so fire
I find it interesting how Boo Lake actually defied the laws of the BCP. It's ironic because of how ghosts break the laws of physics in how they pass through walls.
I’m kinda sad about the lack of love for double dash with the waves, I hope we get some more in the next ones like daisy cruise or wario colosseum would be great
man this was really good wave 3 dlc set of tracks. they did almost all of the tracks right in this dlc except for boo lake (which just felt way too short for a track) other then that i enjoyed every single track in this dlc wave.

I wanna see these city tracks just get completely opened up for a hide and seek style battle mode. They're less tracks than mazes anyway, it would be so much fun!
I agree so much with Rainbow Road - I got tears in my eyes, first time I played 3rd lap! So emotional 😂
Me too, it's a beautiful work of art
tbh, one of the best parts abt the dlc is that there is a new level analysis video by odyssey central
If the drawbridge in London Loop had a glider ramp that turns on and off depending if it's up or down like the ones in 3DS Music Park it would make the drawbridge SO much better
1. It's a drawbridge
2. It literally goes into a turn almost immediately after
My favorite part of Peach Gardens, is that me and my sister like to make up stories for most of these tracks.
100% agree
They seem to have done most of the not very interesting city tracks first. Tracks like Vancouver, Los Angeles, Singapore, etc are a lot more interesting and unique so hopefully this won’t be too much of a problem for the later waves
Agree
they do this guy just forgot ig also who plays mario kart tour
@@geraldgreg5370 me play Mario Kart Tour!
I am one of those fools who fell for the gimmick of being able to play as way more Mario characters than in MK8D without mods. 😔
Since Tour isn't gacha anymore, it's actually a decent game now. I play it on and off. Not a very deep game but it has cool ideas and its interesting to see how they remix tracks
Wave 3 is so goated, can’t believe we’re already half way through the pass!
Berlin Byways has such a great soundtrack! It’s stuck in my head.
This remake of 3DS Rainbow Road is my new favorite track, beating a track that was my favorite for 11 years
Glad to see my favorite track of any game, 3ds rainbow road, getting the recognition it deserves. Also, the music really is sooo good. I saw a video where the community ranked every song for each track in every Mario Kart game and 3ds rainbow road ranked 1st, yeah thats right, it beat every other track in every other game. Such a good track.
I love riding the small wall at the end of boo lake for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
You didn’t mention the huge visual upgrade this wave had overall, the worst looking track is Rock Rock Mountain which I think still looks great inside the tunnel and during the gliding sections.
The first time I played London loop, I legitimately went around the roundabout 2 times before going the right way
Favorite part of the DLC - Playing the DLC.
2nd favorite part of the DLC - Watching reactions/rankings.
that literally means that your favourite part of the dlc is the dlc and watching people enjoy the dlc
@@bcsbernard Yes it does.
Broken pier isnt in tour?
At first I was too to say that Maple freeways music in 8 is hard mid but after listening to it I actually like it. Not more then the original but I think it can stand on its own
The tour city tracks are the highlights of every wave! They are always alot of fun and I always replay them, (They also have some of the best music our of any Mario Kart Track)
Berlin Byways during laps 2 and 3 is a funny one during that intersection. One moment you boost through using your saved mushroom, and then get ran over by someone using a Bullet Bill, then squashed by a Thwomp.
I like how you call tower bridge “a drawbridge” it made me laugh
i've been waiting for this video since wednesday when the tracks came out and i played them myself. i'm excited to see your opinions on the wave!
edit: FINALLY THE SECOND TRACK OF THE WAVE ISNT GARBAGE
I disagree
@@noahppinkrevail that's alright
@@tmac_2717 Speaking of I actually think wave 2 is better then wave 3 because from my eyes the tracks that are good are Waluigi Pinball,Sydney Sprint,Snow Land,Mushroom Gore,Sky High Sundae for wave 2 and the tracks that impressed me in wave 3 are London Loop,Rock Rock mountain,Merry mountain, and berlin byways, and 5>4 so for me wave 2 is better
@@noahppinkrevail but i'm confused what did you have to disagree with? i never said i thought wave 3 was better(however i do think that)
ofc you're entitled to your own opinion and that's alright
The fact that this cup not only has great tracks, but also make a couple of gameplay changes puts it above way higher than the previous two.
i genuinely love the lightning goofs in every mario video he makes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only critique I have with the 3DS Rainbow Road remake is the section right after the moon. The little boost conveyors don’t make the magical sounds anymore, the tunnel looks a lot more washed out and the star doesn’t light up the end of the tunnel anymore.
Fun fact: for the Berlin byways part of the video, the “chapter” is called Biowaste
16:04 they should've had skiing shy guys
Other waves after 3ds Rainbow Road: Well how are we supposed to top that?
3DS Rainbow road: Thats the neat part, you don't.
Wii Rainbow Road:
@@batmanbud2 ...sure...
London loop map: *very complicated*
Me, a Brit who has been to London: *WELL AIN’T THAT OBVIOUS*
Fun fact: In Australia, we’re I’m from, Rock Rock Mountain is called Alpine Pass.
I love how much care and attention they are giving to this five year old game. It makes sense as it's one of the most popular titles but still
I really wish that the cylinder from rainbow road had anti gravity so you could drive on the ceiling to get more boost panels just in case you miss one.
This is literally the first time I’ve watched a video with a tier list I fully agree with
When you're on a track with multiple routes that open up later in the race those routes on the mini map should be darker or something because then it would be easier to understand the map.
Wave 3 was by FAR the best wave in the pass so far.
I couldn’t call any tracks in this wave the worst track in the wave!
Even watching that Rainbow Road gameplay got me hyped as all hell. That's amazing. I loved it on 3DS but WOW.
I personally cannot get over the fact that we literally get to drive through the fall of the Berlin Wall
I absolutely love Maple Treeway! I actually played it on Wii. It's awesome mostly because of that halfpipe. Can't get enough of it. By the way, the jump portion towards the finish line I think used to have a rope bridge. Gosh, a lot has changed since Wii.
You mean the jack-off bridge?
as someone who has tons of nostalgia for Wii Rainbow Road and only got to experience 7’s Rainbow Road through the Booster Course Pass, 7’s Rainbow Road is by far my favorite in the series.
I love watching odyssey analyze these tracks. just got the booster course pack today.
Mario Kart 7 is one of the only two games I haven't owned in the series, and that excellent Rainbow Road was a tremendously pleasant surprise
I was so busy enjoying this video that I nearly forgot about my tradition (that nobody really knows or cares about, but I'm still gonna do it). Here's the Wave 3 edition:
Rock Cup:
Tour London Loop: Even as a Tour player, I was never a big fan of the track. There aren't a lot of interesting landmarks to see, it drags on for way too long at times, and the music is a weird choice (I know why it is what it is, it's just that I don't think of London when I hear it). That being said, it is the most complicated city track so far, so I'll give it that. 7/10
GBA Boo Lake: I really liked the remake in Tour, so it's no surprise that I like it in 8DX. 9/10
3DS Rock Rock Mountain: Was never the biggest fan of this track, but I do enjoy playing on it. I actually really like the gliding here, which, considering how this game's gilder mechanics work, is surprising. I do wish it didn't look so bland though. Also, the music rocks (pun intended). 8/10
Wii Maple Treeway: What can I say about this that hasn't already been said. One of my favorite tracks of all time got a huge upgrade, and I love it! 10/10
Moon Cup:
Tour Berlin Byways: I might be biased, considering I do play Tour, but this is my favorite city track! 9/10
DS Peach Gardens: While this track wasn't never my favorite from DS (Airship Fortress when?), I do like what they did with it. It looks so good, the music is really nice, and that 3rd lap caught me off guard. It's solid. 8/10
Merry Mountain: I really like this track, especially the aesthetic! The music is really good, and I do enjoy playing on it, although I do agree that the downhill section is a little bland. 9/10
3DS Rainbow Road: My favorite track of all time. What can I say? This isn't a race. It's a journey. My only real complaint is that the moon music should've been a little calmer, but otherwise, it's perfect! Beyond 10/10
Overall, this wave is objectively the best wave in the BCP.
@@FidGame450 you didn’t offend me nor did you have to edit. It just reminded me the bad side of the community, that’s all.
I find it kinda funny how MK8DX has now more rainbow roads then any other MK game
1:30 "Good god, that map looks horrible."
Rome Avanti: "Hold my pizza"
I’ve been waiting for so long IT’S FINALY OUT
"Personally, I prefer the air." Love the Falco Smash Bros. reference.
Lets be perfectly honest, Wii Rainbow Road is gonna be in this Pass and it will be glory
You made me pause the video with my mouth wide open when you said fully customizable items.
These Mario Kart 8 Level-by-Levels are great.
Fun fact... New york minute, Tokyo blur, Paris promenade, London Loop and Vancouver Velocity where the first five city tracks to be released in tour so that's were the boring straights come from
But, but, Berlin Byways can be played with THREE mushrooms in Time Trials! Therefore, IT’S THE BEST TRACK OF ALL TIME!!!
Also in Mario Kart Wii if you bump into the wigglers, they won’t hurt you compared to Wave 3
I didn't even watch the video fully yet I couldn't help but subscribe the moment I saw you playing as dry bones
When I see the Whomps with the spray paint, it reminds me of the Berlin Wall
There's a minor change to 3DS Rainbow Road that bothers me a ton. It's the sun. The sun was repositioned 90° anticlockwise and now during Lap 3, you're no longer driving into the sun, most notably on the big left turn at the end of the track. You drive into it during the moon segment, but it feels more epic during the final segment of the track
It doesn't ruin the track or anything, but it really ruins an aspect of the original track that I love
Glad i wasn't the only one to really miss that part, i made that last turn into it and was like "Where's the sun man cmon"
oh, the 'double pipe' air shortcut on alpine/rock rock course is actually slower than gliding to the right and hitting the pipe thats NOT blowing air and bounce/tricking off it and back onto the course according to the current WR (plus in a race thats less time in the air that u could get hit with a weapon etc)
8:54 Me: #YEET 😬
9:00 Me: #LOL😂
Also, like you said, you anticipate the turn pretty heavily beforehand so theres a buildup to that huge jump
Also, there's a similar skip after gliding off Saturn that let's you skip to the left and straight to the 2nd set of panels like a Mushroom shortcut (which I usually used to do it if I had a triple) (if you want to see some of what I'm talking about look up some TAS runs of the course, theres one with metal mario in the thumbnail that I know has an even more elaborate version of these two skips)
I'm of course disappointed these aspects didn't come back in 8, but it was because they smoothed the track out some more so it wasn't just due to 8 having higher gravity like I expected. I still like it more in 7 mechanically and partially visually, but I still absolutely love it in 8 and it easily makes my too 5 in 8, and remains one of if not my favorite track in the series
Odyssey:*ranting about how much of a glow up boo lake received*
Me knowing full well this is just a port from tour as boo lake was in the Halloween tour: I have some bad news for this guy😬
Being a lifelong space nerd makes the MK7 Rainbow Road in my opinion my all time favourite Mario Kart track,
Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn look amazimg
Story Time:
Mariokart 7 was my 3rd Mariokart Game.
