This past weekend I finally broke the 45 minute barrier in the 5k!! It was a huge day for me and I'm still excited about it till this day, enjoy the video!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is my first year of taking running seriously and your videos are really inspiring. I qualified for middle school states in the 1500m and missed qualifying in the 800m by .81 sec haha. Anyway I love the mix of music you used during the race, great vid!!
Bro ur so inspirational... theirs no haters here😂 luv the vids, i know how much work it takes to edit vids. Keeps up the awesome work, a goal on my bucket list is to break 15 in highschool, I found out about u from the vid of how you went from horrible to now breaking 15!!!! Ur crazy do what u luv and keep it going Zach!! Much luv
Beast mode! Absolutely crushed it- incredible performance Zach! My goals for this year are to get more into fell running and beat 34 minutes in the 10k
Congrats Bro. 5 years since freshman and over 5 minutes off your 5k. Currently I'm a freshman in high school doing the 3 seasons of running. It is going great so far and my xc 5k pr was 19:40. I look up to you and you inspire me to run harder and strive for the best. thanks
Zach when I was watching your race i was so nervous i did not know if you were going to win or not but dang you did the best you did and came 2 YOU DID AMAZING
Good job man! I just got back into running last year I was 190lbs at 5’11” and I had trouble running 1 mile in 8:30. Over a year sober now and down to 145lbs, ran a 16:41 5k last weekend! Sub 15 min is HAULIN ASS!! Really motivating seeing this I’ll keep at it good job! Keep those miles rollin’!!
Just came across your account a couple days ago, absolutely love your work ethic, your creativity, your character and your outlook on life. ( obviously don’t know you, I only know what you show ). But I definitely see someone who will go far in life. I wish you the best in all your endeavors and your journey as a runner and a student. Good luck! Love from Texas!
Amazing run man. You’ve got talent. It’s crazy just thinking about how fast you were cruising and then you have kipchoge who literally runs 8 of these back to back at a relative 14:40 pace.
Huge inspiration man! Today I ran 5:00 in the mile. Ain’t sub 5:00 but I ran the best I ever have. Not fast but I did well for having a rough start to the season. Got sick for a whole week and the week after that i got in a car wreck. You inspire me so much
Well done, man. That’s a serious PR right there. I’m glad you took the day for yourself and focused on the race. It sounds cliche, but on those days where you feel capable of something special you’ve really just got to lean into them.
So amazing. Sometimes, people just have a break through run which changes everything! Now you know you can run 14:40's, how much faster can you go? Love watching good runners with great form
Yes! I am so glad that you broke 15 in the 5k. The other day I had a track meet and I was going for a sub 13 2 mile but I ended up getting 13:01 so I am glad that at least one of us is achieveing our goals. LOL
With 13:01 you're sure to break 13 soon! I'm running my first 3200m tomorrow (I am an 800m runner) and am going for low-11s (sub 11 would be ideal, but idk if I'm quite there yet, haha)
Thanks for posting this video! I have NYC Mayor's Cup for Outdoor. My outdoor season started with a rough 4:38 two days in a row and it was a bit discouraging. Looking forward to a good race this Saturday though! This video was definitely a good piece of motivation! btw some of my friends ran at this meet they're from Wagner College!
AW ZACH YAY IM SO HAPPY FOR U!! I just started running distance track about a month ago. At the beginning of the year my 1600 time was 9:20... Now it’s 7:20. On Friday I have my first time trial after weeks of training and I really hope to break 7. I know it’s not fast at all but it’s been a personal goal of mine and all your words and encouragement have actually kept me going, thank you!
Summer training is where all the work starts, if you run in the summer, then your times will drastically improve if you also do cross country and pre season.
I really like how you talk about when the race truly begins. How the race doesn’t start until a mile to go. I’m going to apply that thinking to the 2 mile invitational coming up on Saturday.
Awesome!!! So proud of you bro! Any other track tips? I’m racing some right now in my freshman year and trying to break 2:10 for the 8 and 5 for the mile. Wish me luck and good job again!! Always inspiring to see you race
Couldn't stop smiling for you watching this, such a great accomplishment. Currently working to go sub 16 in the 5k (Hopefully this weekend). I love the content and best of luck with the rest of your season!
Congrats Zach! I'm really striving to break the Guam high School record for the 1500m(4:13), and honestly your videos have become such an inspiration to me in my senior season. In addition, I'm hoping to qualify for the U20 Oceania Atheletics coming up this year too! Thank you so much for this inspiration. Btw, my current PR is 4:31.58, and I hope to keep climbing.
Man, ive seen your name in the reccommended videos for awhile now, but never clicked on one. Im glad i finally did, cuz youre literally only an hour from me (norfolk) and i used to live in James city county years ago. Great video man and congrats on the great run and PR. Youve earned my sub.. congrats again
Awesome 👍😁👍 pushing is fun. I might be in middle of pack but Still racing till the end. Also watching your vids. I'm getting on the road trying to lower my times.
It was great getting to meet you right before my 10K that day. Sick race! It was cool watching you go back and forth that last lap with that guy from Duquense. Keep at it.
That small move to get to the front and in your comfortable spot put you in a good position for something great to happen. I’m running it’s always that little 3 seconds of push that make or break a good race.
Clark Klent run more and stay positive no matter the results. If getting bad times or not where you want to be, keep it in your mind as motivation and keep running as fast as you can. You’ll do it bro!
Clark Klent, bruh 5:27 is my exact all time high lol, I think I could do better though, I wanna start running again, keep going did you get under 5:00 yet
Yeoo you think it’s possible for me to maintain running along with football I’m 160 right now and trying to get to 180 pounds while doing weight training do you think the long distance running would hinder my muscle growth or my performance would be hindered by the mass I’m a 15 year old
Hey man, I’ve been putting my all into workouts and training and I’m a freshman with a pr of 4:56 1600m and that was indoor now that I’m outdoor I’m running 5:07 and I’m back pedaling is there anything I can do to get back to where I was even tho I’m training just as hard
Congrats on your win!! By the way this may seem weird but did you and two other guys go to Taos last summer? I think I remember you being at the cross country camp
I ran a 2:10 800 in indoor and I was looking forward to pushing my self to make new balance nationals with a 2:03 but I stress fractured my ankle and was out for 3 weeks, tomorrow is my first meet and I hope I can still bounce back
Rn my 1600m time is 4:50 3200m is 10:47 5k time is 16:47 I still have next year senoir year to imrpove and i really want to. My goal is to beat these by a large time and have a new school mile record
I’m a sophomore and ran a race for the first time in a meet yesterday (which was also my 10th time ever running) and I got 19:48 in the 5k, I’m not sure if it’s good or not but I felt disappointed because I was so burnt out
I'm a freshman right now in High School at a D3 school for Track and Cross Country. I just got done with track and I ran the mile (5:14 for a pr) and a couple 800s (2:23 for a pr). I would love to break 18's this year for Cross Country as a sophomore (18:43 for a pr for a 5k). I didn't think I would be able to break 19's at the beginning of the cross season but i did and i was really astonished by how well i did in track. Do you have any advice I could use for this upcoming cross country season? And congrats on your pr you make me want to be a better cc and track runner!
You're welcome for that! I'm the guy in red who took the lead for you after 800 at 3:41. It was a fun race, congrats!
Jeez dude, you’re a monster
This video hypes me up! congrats dawg this is just the beginning for you
Yo what up Spence!
