This is literally the best time to be alive. If were born 100 years ago, we'd be thinking that our intelligence is no match no any species.

I work for a large US Tech company. At our end-of-the-year roundup we were told that up to 75% of all IT jobs will be lost to AI within the next 3 years! We're facing a massive flood of layoffs and millions of IT professionals will go hungry soon. We're outsourcing our customer support to call centers in India and Philippines. Both of our call center contracts will be eliminated by the end of 2024 due to AI taking over. Imagine that!

I think having AI in customer support would be absolutely frustrating for the customers. But using AI for advertising is fine.

I too am of the viewpoint that the conversation would be about what money really means -not simply, ‘adjust your skills’ to stay competitive in the job market . People will never be able to keep up with exponential pace of AI , it’s stupid to think humans can simply grit their teeth and fight for the last few jobs as we ride this wave.
I used to tell often that there should be something else for money (or atleast additional) to convert work and store as some credit which can be consumed for other things.
50000 jobs will be created in A1 . No worries to techies. They already accumulated life requirements in first 10 years of their service.

Incorporate AI when your customers and clients are also AI. Productivity and efficiency are two overhyped trends or words in corporate especially. Companies are always behind this unattainable mirage and loose value and impact creation. At the end how much productivity is too much ?
