- Did This Thrift Expert Get It Right When She Thrifted for the Thrifting Diva?
Yes, I have been gone way too long. However, when you are told that you have cancer, you fight more than a physical fight, you fight a mental breakdown. I am back. I am stronger. But, life happens! Now, onto this video.
I teamed up with the amazing Taylor Blanton of Taylor Made Style for an awesome thrift swap and lookbook challenge. She sent me 5 thrifted pieces, and likewise, I sent her thrifted pieces to style. There were very few rules to this Thrift Swap and lookbook challenge. We simply provided our measurements, and allowed the other person to thrift for us. I couldn't wait to open her box of goodies, as I know that she has awesome taste, and definitely knows fashion.
When I opened the box of thrifted pieces, I was VERY HAPPY. However, there was just one piece that honestly, I would not have picked out for myself. But, stepping out of my comfort zone, and practicing what I preached, I pushed through to style the items anyways.
Let me tell you, at the end of this collaboration, I truly LOVED all the pieces. Thank you Taylor!!!!!

I am seriously allergic to paying full price for most things in life. However, I do have some very expensive taste, but would rather hold onto my coins. To keep myself looking awesome, as I do believe that is very important to my well being, I look for deals everywhere. I often get my clothes secondhand, because, you will often find amazing and quality pieces at thrift and consignment stores, and not have to pay a lot of money. However, I do shop at the high end retail stores at times, but only when a great sale makes its way. I consider a great sale anything from 30-60% off. While I like to look great, I also love a beautiful home. Thrifting home decor is a passion and I love that I am able to makeover crappy pieces, into pieces that I love, without busting the budget.

The skirt is a beauty I have to admit. I am just not a huge fan of the sequins. I think though, I can just remove them.
