    I love your channel!! It feels like I’m going through this journey with you. And I totally understand how you feel because I want to learn things quickly; but you have an awesome coach who is breaking down the swing for you and giving you a solid foundation to build on!! Don’t be so hard on yourself. Seeing your beginning swing compared to that last one was significant. Once you lock in this with a nice tempo, you’re going to be great my friend!! 💯

    I’ve been playing golf for about 10 years and I have improved more in the past few weeks by taking your videos with me to the range and going through the advice and drills that you’re getting , than I have in the past few years just grinding and trying to figure it out .
    Not only that but I have two herniated discs in my back which make me sway and slide my hips. This video has helped me tremendously so thanks for all your hard work! (Now to work on that slice😅)
    Keep it up and I’m looking forward to going on this journey with you.
    My goal is to break 90 this year.

    compression is just hitting down on the ball (squeezing the ball between the club face and the ground). If you are on a launch monitor, as long as the attack angle is negative, you are hitting down (this is also why you want a divot in front of the ball), 0 degrees is perfect "sweeping off" the ball, and hitting up (like on a driver) the angle would be positive. This needs to combine where you are hitting on the club face (high, low, etc) to determine how high your ball will launch (launch angle and dynamic loft). One of the reasons I go to indoor golf places at all is to check the launch conditions. I am an engineer, and none of this golf swing stuff ever makes any sense to me until I saw the impact screen on the launch monitor and number for the first time.

    Solid coaching. I have a serious problem with swaying because of back surgeries. But I found out if I keep 70 to 80% weight on my left side and shortening my swing allows me to rotate more. Your swing is starting to come together. Can't wait to see it in 6 months when your not thinking. You will just be swinging

    Rounding the bases is a lot easier when your left foot is slightly forward of the right. Always be slightly closed to the target for right to left shots.

    An old pro told me to get a proper turn on the back swing, you need to get your left shoulder and your left knee behind the ball. After about 2-3 weeks of practice, the same pro your swing is great, no all you need to think about is turning back and turn through think slice. From the on the club hitting the ball felt like butter.

  • @dougandh2

    Your swing is looking good! Hard to tell but it looks like the ball is too far back in your stance. Remember what your other coach said about static (I.e., setup) issues.

    • @vcracing

    This coach is teaching great advice, very similar to everything Porzak Golf coach teaches. There are different types of swings and Chris's coaching style aligns with porzak golf if you NEED to look up youtube videos, id recommend looking at Porzak golf to reinforce Chris's teaching style, so you dont go down the wrong hole and get completely different advice from different online coaches

    Definitely should do freezers instead of full swings. You get into position perfectly in rehearsal but then when it comes to hitting the ball it’s a full swing at like 70%+ . You don’t know the feeling yet when it comes to full swing. I bet if you do freezers for each of the 3 positions and at like 40% with a full bucket, they’ll start to sink in.

  • @franciscodebarros4195

    Dude!! You gotta stop thinking so much. Golf is complicated enough. Keep it simple. Focus on 1 or 2 things and wear it out until u get it down then move on. AND… Be realistic about how u hit it. I see you hitting relatively good shot that you don’t seem happy with. Chill bro. Good luck and keep up the good work.

    • @broccoliaugratin
      @broccoliaugratin Рік тому

      Yeah, but today it was almost all low fat shots, so he’s probably feeling down. It’s a journey I’ve had like 3 bad range sessions in a row with bad stuff, we’re not all naturals

    • @franciscodebarros4195
      @franciscodebarros4195 Рік тому +2

      @@broccoliaugratin Thing is… As u fix one thing you struggle some because you still have old patterns that don’t match up with the new ones. It’s actually a good thing to have a rough day or 2 cuz it means ur making changes. He needs to stay the course and trust the process and eventually he will match it up with his athletic ability. IE. I struggled with early extension. Learned to stay back with my butt and rotate better but in the beginning I kept fatting it cuz my old pattern caused me to extend my arms. Wasn’t until I learned to keep my arms “passive” that I started to flush it.

    I think this is a great coach but you can tell he is frustrated by how fast you are trying to progress through new concepts. I get you are needing to make content. But he really wanted you to build a foundation from day 1, and you can see your takeaway when you are actually hitting is way inside of what he wants you to do (and what you set up prior). You act exactly like I would, but patience is a virtue.

    Great work. Golf is 99% mental. I know how to swing and control club head and speed, but to put it in to practice and remembering and keeping all the thoughts both negative and positive is complex. I have been playing for 18 months after not playing for about 25 years or more. It is hard to get it all back. I was playing off 10 or less but now i am off 28 and occasionally hit in the 80s on par71 course. These videos and teachings are great. Patience is the key. Cheers🏌
