    Interesting Facts:
This film was initially announced in October 2009 with Ravi Teja (en.wikipedia.o...) playing the lead role and with Krishna Vamsi (en.wikipedia.o...) as director, with the producer announcing the film as a partly fantasy venture.[4] (en.wikipedia.o...) The film progressed in pre-production with Tamannaah Bhatia (en.wikipedia.o...) and Sneha Ullal (en.wikipedia.o...) being considered to portray the heroine role, whilst the fantasy elements in the original script were removed.[5] (en.wikipedia.o...)
Around that time cinematographer Santosh Srinivas was looking to become a director and landed in Bellamkonda camp. They worked on this script and he made the necessary changes to it.
In April 2010, it was revealed that the producer and Ravi Teja had fallen out and he was replaced by Ram.[6] (en.wikipedia.o...)
Coming to hero Ram he said “As I said before, due to certain bad experiences, after ‘Ganesh’, I felt that I should not do movies with new directors. So I took a pretty period of 7 months to go through various scripts, 17 to be precise to short list the right script. Finally it was a story of Santosh Srinivas which compelled me to jump into the project.
The filming began in October 2010 with Ram (en.wikipedia.o...) and Hansika Motwani (en.wikipedia.o...) , whilst actress Swati Reddy (en.wikipedia.o...) shot scenes the following month.[7] (en.wikipedia.o...) Ram stated on his Twitter account that the film had three female lead roles, and suggested that Nisha Aggarwal was signed on.
During the first schedule, events on the set of the film became the reason for the Telugu film industry strikes of 2010 after Telugu film fighters attacked Tamil film technicians in Chennai on the sets of the film in December 2009.[8] (en.wikipedia.o...) [9] (en.wikipedia.o...) Enraged by this, producers called for a bandh the next day. However, film workers declared a strike immediately after that for an indefinite period. The crisis affected the whole film industry and no films were shot in Andhra Pradesh during late December and early January during negotiations.[10] (en.wikipedia.o...)
After filming had resumed, the original music director Chakri was replaced by S. Thaman (en.wikipedia.o...) in March 2011.
Filming was done in Hyderabad Hi tech City, Ramlji Film City and Kokapet MArayadam Ramanna house set which was modified to reflect Warangal backdrop and Switzerland.
Finally shooting finished and they launched audio on Kandireega's audio was launched at Taj Deccan (en.wikipedia.o...) in Hyderabad on 14 July 2011. Venkatesh (en.wikipedia.o...) was the chief guest at the audio launch. Audio became a super hit.
August 12th, 2011 movie released amidst heavy competition with Dhada and became a super hit.
Collected 22 crores share at the box office, becoming the highest grossing movie in Ram’s career at that point in time and completed 50 days on September 30th, 2011 and then 100 days on November 18th, 2011.
Breakthrough for Aksha Pardasani in Telugu who would go onto appear in Bengal Tiger, Dictator and Radha.
