What a great year for British Breakbeat Hardcore music! Let's roll back the clock to 1994 and get euphorically mashed up!

So glad to of discovred these shows. Been on a right 94 binge lately saving as many of these kinds of mixes as i can.I was only 9 years old in 94 at the time so missed all the good parties but i started getting into hardcore and rave music in 98 and ive never looked back since. 37 years old now so stil a baby but i had some wicked times and went to some sick parties. Im glad to stil be part of a rave generation where there was no phones on the dancefloor. That just killed the vibe for me
Glad to have you on board Luke!
Fookin Awsome, 100% pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was just 14/15 back in '94 but was already listening to these tunes back in the day by means of mixtapes and the illegal airwaves! Great selection!

Thought I would revisit this. Can’t believe it’s 4 years ago. Love those decks and great set. Dreamscape 10 30 years is only a a few months away. Maybe a Tuesday night tribute set is on the cards ?’ 👍
Fantastic mix, and awesome tracks.
1994 was the year when the scene splitted into jungle and happy hardcore, so it's a bit tricky to find tracks with the real breakbeat hardcore style, but those few exist in the middle of these 2 styles (happy hardcore & jungle), are phenomenal tracks (specially during early/mid 1994), very matured and advanced breakbeat hardcore tracks compared to earlier stuff, due to higher bpm, cleared productions, and hard amen breakbeats that dominated 1994. Totally bangers.
Kniteforce was the main label (if not the only one) that continued to put out high quality breakbeat hardcore stuff for the next couple years after 1993, hence the exceptional catalogue of Kniteforce tunes in 1994-1995.
''Naughty naughty'' aka the mighty ''Wishdokta'', also put out great breakbeat hardcore tunes in 1994.
Thank you very much for this wicked mix.
Yes mate 🙏

I can’t believe 2 years has passed since this was recorded….I can’t believe nearly 28 years has passed since these tunes were released. 😳
crazy huh!
Loved '94, thanks for upload
Yes yes, the last great year of upfront hardcore!! The production was crisper, the amens + proper breaks were still flowing!1 I was only listening to the tape packs back then, so many sick underground tunes before the fall into cheesedom-bouncy-techno-disaster of the following years. That's why when I finally got my decks at 16 I just started collecting the old 90/91/92/93/ tunes. I am sadly lacking in '94 tunes: Wicked mix Jay!!
Wicked mix but I feel 1994 is where hardcore started tripping itself up. The breaks were becoming less frequent with 4x4 becoming more popular and a serious lack of sub-base. Almost every record had a breakdown leading to a piano and vocals. This is where Happy Hardcore really started for me and with the likes of D&B starting to take off with the likes of The Burial and Dead Dred. It felt like it was the beginning of the end. There were still some great tunes like ‘The Journey part 2 and Breaking Free but the sound had changed and not for the better.
Boy I sound like an old fart

I absolutely love this podcast!! I've been listening to it for a few weeks now on Spotify. Is it true that it dissapeared from there? I can't find it anymore :(
As much as I love the first track, all I can ever hear is that awful MC digger over the top from a set at dreamscape 10.

The first tune RAMOS dropped it 😢😢
I've just bought myself some Dj controllers, Where can I find this sort of music?
TheTamandtone most of this stuff is hard to get digitally unless you rip form the vinyl
@@oatz0174 Thanks for reply mate, I have found a fair bit on Beatport and Juno but a lot of it is, tunes with bits missing out of them and the BPM's are all wrong. How do I rip my vinyl into an MP3?
TheTamandtone to get your vinyl to mp3 you will need to download a audio software, audacity is probably your best bet, it’s free and easy to use and there is loads of tutorials on using it, you will need a red and white rca lead to jack so you can run it from you mixer or turntable to your laptop then hit record and play the record, then just save it to a mp3 file and your good, I’m not the best with computers so give some UA-cam a watch on it 👍🙂
@@oatz0174 Thank you for the reply mate, already got one of those leads so just need to D/L Audacity. Once again thanks for reply :)
Any luck on getting tracks. I have some quality vinyl rips from my own personal collection. I can convert to mp3 if you are interested no charge just spreading the love.
