Hold down up, down and power button. Release IMMEDIATELY soon as the logo comes up. I kept holding it down, then I stopped and watched exactly what Mr. Hands was doing. SUCCESS! And I just got an awesome working tablet from the pawn shop for $10, because they couldn't figure out factory reset. :)

This only put mine in safe mode. Holding volume down + power finally worked.

If you notice, he/she/it/they/them, does not have the "Lock" icon in the upper left of the screen. This tablet is NOT Locked, there was no password assigned to the device...it may have been an older firmware version, but I doubt it...
