- This is a short video showing how to refurbish a Bosch D Jetronic fuel pump . The video shows what hardware you need for the fuel pump assembly, and where to buy it.
Brought back memories of when I did my d-jet system. I used the old screws and o-rings on my pump. Up front, I bought new regulators/dampers and new hoses. I paid to have my 7 injectors cleaned. Dr-DJet is a great online reference for the system.
Do you remember what you paid to have the injectors cleaned? Mike
@@MikesMercsandothercars I paid $20 each in 2016. 1 ended up bad so I bought a used injector on eBay.
Great video Mike. Amazing how you take these rusty components and refurbish them. I’m glad rust is not a problem here in Arizona.
Thanks for your comment - yes the UK's battle with rust...How is your project going. It can be quite hard to keep up the enthusiasm of these long arduous (and expensive!) projects. Mike
@@MikesMercsandothercars it’s going pretty well so far. I installed the front crankshaft seal, hub, vibration damper & v-pulley the other day. Today I removed the woodruff keys on the camshafts. I only ordered 2 keys, but I forgot the right cam has two so I’m waiting on that. As soon as that comes in I’ll install the upper guides, chain & sprockets. I will be using offset keys to slightly advance the timing for easier startup & smoother idle. I’m getting close now!
@@TonyLiveTV Wow you are really going for it - you'e in a different league to me. Mike
