I have experienced the pride of working as a mixer for them. I didn't use effects or dynamics processors, the sound was magical as it was. Absolutely wonderful experience, friendly musicians, warm atmosphere all round. It still warms my heart.

I'm crying from the 10th second. there's NOTHING like Huun-Huur-Tu's music. My soul sings. My heart sings. My eyes cry. Makes me feel grateful for life and everything. I could die this very moment a happy man having listened to such transcendent music.

i just went to their performance in The Hague. It was wonderful. I heard nature, i saw mountains and rivers, I could smell horses. The music that play makes you in a very gentle way surrender to the moment and to experience something magical.

@@cheeseandonions9558 Bragging isn't necessarily the song's purpose. It depends on what the lyrics actually mean. It could be just as easily be a song someone sang to express gratitude for a blessed life, longing for resources to lift them from struggles beyond their control, or even something simple about the daily work involved in maintaining their family or clan's herd. And if bragging were the intended purpose, it could be a style of song involved historically in courtship. Something to let the bride's family know that she can depend on the man, and a chance for him to show whatever musical skill he possesses to impress the woman in question. Basically we don't know much about it. It's a different language, culture, and lifestyle. Why assume the worst you can imagine and enjoy the song less?

They certainly look Mongolian, but if from the central steppes of Asia, Mongolian or not, they all share very close external traits. Outside of their origin this music is absolutely marvelous, magical... before movies and books... I guess that is how most of mankind made sure to save their stories, fables, myths and knowledge... music. Beautiful, pure music made for survival and culture, not for billboards and profits.

Does anyone know where to find the lyrics of this song ? It’s been mistaken for « Konguroi » but the real title is « Kongurai », I can’t find it and I’d love to know the meaning

Anyone know if this version of this song is available in Spotify? There's a same song title on there but it's a slower version without the drum. Thanks.

@@Mr0Anonymous0 Well, Tuvans, and the language they speak, are Turkic, while Mongolians are Mongolic. Genetically speaking they're different, but culturally speaking, they're quite similar.
