I was hyped to see this matchup in action the second I found out that a Maka Albarn was release Mugen awhile ago and she was able to hold her own pretty well against Mr.Giang's version of Ruby Rose, Maka using well time jabs and supers against Ruby to take HUGE portions of her health away, while Ruby counters this with her long an complex combo chains, the all while they bounce, dodge and parry against each other across the stage. But in the end Runy's Crescent Rose wasn't able to defeat the literal power of friendship between Maka and her humanoid scythe, Soul "Eater" Evans. My main inspiration for this matchup is finding out that someone finally made a regular sized version of Maka Albarn from Soul Eater while I was surfing the web. After finding this out, I knew at some point or another that I got to request a matchup of her going up against another cool scythe wielding gal, Ruby Rose. And right after finding out that a new Maka was released, I also ended up finding a cool stage based on the Soul Eater show itself. Combine that with the interesting similarities that both Maka and Ruby share, like both of them being plucky, energetic girls who despite their dark appearance and choice of weapon are actually kind and compassionate individuals, who utilize her incredible skills to protect people from otherworldly creatures of the shadow realm. Oh and here is the next matchup idea that I have. It's a battle between two incredibly powerful yet ordinary heroes of the East and The West. A superhero who can take down anybody in one punch Vs. A sailor who can win any fight with one can of spinach: CVS Saitama(EstebanG18, BabyWizard) Vs. Popeye X(DDR/ArthurDM). Oh and I found a BGM that could fit the theme of the match.
