I love the enthusiasm 😂 i totally understand the hype now that i have mine. It allows me to read so much faster and as you said, it’s so convenient and helps me focus only on reading since it doesn’t have any distractions
I love using the text-to-speech feature! It puts my Bluetooth speaker to good use, and it basically turns any book into an audiobook. It even automatically turns the pages! 🤓
I have an old e-reader my parents got me for christmas in 2015 cuz they thought it would be cooler for me than buying books I read a few ebooks they already put on it in so little time it was crazy but then I put it on a shelf and stuck to actual books now almost 10 years later I got myself a new ebook and love this thing so much and will use it all the time now!
Also Libby is amazing. You can borrow a book from your library for free and send it to your kindle. So even if you can't get KU you can use your library.
Can you answer this question for me please, with kindle unlimited is it like netflix in the sense that you are renting the book and it can disappear after a while, or do you get to keep it permantly in your library?.
If they take the book off kindle unlimited then it will disappear, but if it’s on there and it says it’s apart of kindle unlimited you can read it as many times as you want while it’s still on there!
BOOKBUB! (Like stuff your kindle day all year round- they email you daily/weekly with recommendations based on the genres you pick and maybe extra emails based on authors you pick)
Only reason I pause kindle unlimited is to remind myself to read/reread the awesome books I bought (either because they weren’t available on KU or because I read them 2-3 times on KU and still loved them). My favourite points for reading ebooks are I have a whole LIBRARY at my fingertips, whether on phone, iPad, or kindle, I love reading with black background white text because it’s great for people prone to headaches or migraines (in my experience), it’s discreet for avoiding all the judgement (whether it’s people who think romance readers are stupid/childish, people that think nonfic readers are boring, people that think spicy readers have loose morals, or people that think fantasy readers need to wake up to reality). The only reason I haven’t bought one for my mum is she doesn’t like tech, and she’d need an Amazon account which I don’t think she’d want to set up, even with help (we share some common book favourites, but I also don’t want to share my entire library with anyone).
let's not forget how many amazing indie books you can get for free multiple times a year from stuff your kindle days, or watching the kindle store for deals. also using libby for free ebook loans from your library. I spend almost no money reading on my kindle. obsessed.
I love that if you find a book that you want, you can get it IMMEDIATELY. No waiting for a restock, no holds waiting list, planning a trip to the store (if they even have it), or waiting for it to ship. Just buy and download in seconds. My kindle paperwhite goes with me everywhere. So portable.
I absolutely love my kindle. I love that it’s low tech and that it only allows you to read on it. It helps a bunch with distractions! Also the time left in chapter 🤌🏼

i've been binge reading on my phone, my head throbbing from the eyestrain caused by the blue light lol. I'm on track to get a kindle on prime day now
Yeah that used to happen to me before I got one and it was the best decision
