3:53 That's not a bug from The Ink Demon. It can't actually go further down by the staircase to Level 9, otherwise, he could even consume you during Twisted Alice Angel's Speech. Although this won't stop it from being in "chase mode", as the chase music won't stop until the game knows you're in a place where you are safe from it. These two places being any Little Miracle Station or inside The Elevator with the door CLOSED.
