This reputation has carried them in their recruiting, and continues to do so today. Surre, Suggs revitalized this, but why did Suggs go to Gonzaga in the first place? Because of the reputation that Stockton built

    He doesn't need to put on weight. That will come naturally through normal strength and conditioning. Be the next kd, work on your skills, it's a different league. He will be another average big man if he trys to bulk up. Screw that. Remember how people laughed at kd for not being able to bench pre-draft? And made fun of him? He should ignore all traditional advice from the old school arm chair coaches.

    With his skills, Chet can almost play any position on the court. Depending on where he goes he could be a SF in the NBA because of how skinny he is. Once he ages a little and fills out some he will grow into a true PF/C. He reminds me of KP or Bol Bol.

    GU has a history of going to the ends of the planet to find and develop talent to compete in D1. Not only have they perfected that, they just convinced the number 1 overall talent in this years recruiting pool to go to school on the west coast and play in a pretty irrelevant conference.       Considering the only people to do that are Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Greg Oden, Andrew Wiggins, R.J Barrett and Chet Holmgren. The only actual answer is Oden for NBA. And it was injuries there.

      @@usa4life71 yup, zags got the 3rd best recruiting class as of rn. The first time in zags history they have had a top 5 recruiting class. In 2018 they had the 130th ranked recruiting class, which tells you how far they have come in just a couple years.

    He’s so skilled, but I’m just unsure about his weight, as I’m sure other people are questioning. If he plays against some other 6’10”-7’0” bigger skilled guys, not sure how he’ll hold up right away. He’s an interesting prospect though. Can handle it and can shoot it. Huge wingspan. Good luck to him. We’ll see how he handles bigger dudes.

      but in response to your question you're still trying to prove yourself as a player in college. if going to the best coaching staff and roster will allow you to have the best chance at never worrying about money again you do it 10/10 times. once you get to the NBA people used to prioritize loyalty, which usually followed with a large max deal. nowadays people just want to group together, win a ring or two, then leave after they've got what they wanted and steal some insane contract after their prime days are over (LeBron being the only exception in regards to prime. that mf does not age)

      Probably because stacked NCAA teams usually still lose in the tournament because it’s a 1 game elimination, but in the NBA the best team always wins because of the 7 game set up

    Will see. Reminds me of Bo Bol who is still working his way to the starting lineup in the NBA unlike a guy like Zion who is above 200lbs. Physically I do not see him performing in the NBA simply because of how much mass he has to gain. He has a shape similar to KD without the smoothness tough...He will be injury prone probably. But anyway, great talent and skills.
