The member said it with a joking tone, but fans knew it was not something they would throw around and did their best to try to get that win, but at the time, 4M was against a lot of other popular groups and artists, like GFRIEND, WINNER, Taemin, B.A.P, etc., so it was really hard and as a result, they never got a win. In regards to live performances, a few music shows (before COVID-19 hit of course) usually had a day every week or 2 where they would have live performances with some prerecorded (usually cover stages).
Hate was ahead of it's time, if the song came out these days, ifans would have saved it. I will never understand what happened back than, it was a good follow up to Crazy..
