Bjorn shows how to use the Accurasee Proportional Divider to transfer or enlarge a photo accurately. Drawing with the proportional divider, any artist can arrive at correct overall proportions. This technique is both easier and more effective than the grid method or pencil measurement to arrive at correct proportions. It get's the artist out of "drawing in squares" mode and allows the artist to use much more natural technique for accurate drawing. And most importantly, no squares to grid! - Навчання та стиль
This is the video you need to see, to actually change the proportion in drawing. Most helpful one so far.
Excellent demo, great drawing skills thank you
Thank you so much for your wonderful and valuable info in your demo about this useful tool in order to draw with accuracy.
I bought the same! I am looking forward to receiving it!
This is a really great demo...thank you. Well presented
Good demonstration on how to use this tool. I've already got one on order. Thanks!
Great simple explanation!
Thank you for the video. I have a tool similar to this. Helps a lot. You are a good teacher.
Very good. Thank you for this . The best one I have found.
thanks Geranium. Visit accurasee and you can order the divider there. Unfortunately, the Measurement System is being updated and won't be ready for a while.
Really nice, thank you very much :)
I like it. Thx for sharing.
I watch your videos using the proportional divider and would like to buy the measurement kit.thank you fur your videos.
thank u teacher
Invaluable to see how proportions guide your personal style. Where are those ten stars for me to click on? Thank you!
Absolutely not. Artists use all kinds of transfer methods. Pencil measurement is never considered cheating, but it's another tool. I've given an in depth explanation here, but usually I only check a few points. The fact is you can use this as much or as little as you want. Good luck!
Accurasee Art Products how to get the red pin out..there's no instructions at all written on the paper provided addressing this, nor on your site...and not one video. I've read the reviews on Amazon that's where I bought mine..and it doesn't work. Please advise. Thanks
Merci beaucoup pour cette méthode
Thanks💛
THANK YOU
Can this technique be used on a larger scale than what you are using now?
Very interesting method sir.but kindly clarify me while fixing the ratio have we to take full size of the paper or size of the figure. Hiriyannaiah India
I believe there are people who can draw acurately just by their eye and they are amazing, but i also believe there are people, who are not able to do that like them. Those people are more like the need a little help with those instruments. Both the ways goes to the pyramid top. All is possible. Just make art and make people happy.
so I bought it, but can't get the orange thing to move. watched the video but it doesn't slide...what's up...what am I doing wrong?
+Andi Seliga
Hi Andi. Thanks for giving the divider a try. here's a video explanation: ua-cam.com/video/mCnXaSL0l9Q/v-deo.html
If you're still struggling after this, email me at accurasee@gmail.com
There is along fork shaped pin that slides across to keep the orange pin in place. Just slide it up or down to remove it then you can adjust it according to the proportion you need, Hope this helps!
It cost me $12 well worth the cost from Amazon
on ebay about 15 $
Why not use four lines?
I just receive mine
On Ebay 15$only 😕
If you could draw a straight line, you would be called an architect instead of an artist. :)
Ok let me rephrase it. I cannot even draw a crooked line!.
Can you tell me why this technique is actually necessary? If you’re a proper artist you don’t need this device. What’s wrong with your own proportional divider.....your eyes ! The danger with using photographs is the distortion that lenses tend to make, especially long focus lenses. Extreme wide angle lenses are the worst. It’s a dead give away for experienced onlookers when they see a painting that’s been directly copied from a photo. It looks false and faked. That’s because the eye sees differently from a camera lens.
I suggest if you must copy from a photo make sure the photo has been taken with either a 40mm lens or 50 mm. These lenses are closest to what the human eye sees.
Better still, draw from life.....it’s much more honest. Take drawing lessons to learn about how to get proportions correctly and like this artist says,
negative space is probably the most helpful clue to use in drawing.
So why are you watching it then!
