I also like them as a 4-piece. As much as I love the first 2 albums, Forever album was my favorite because in terms of musical taste, r&b is my jam. Geri was my least favorite Spice Girl anyway. Her departure only showed how selfish she was & how self-absorbed she is as a person. Now, she came back to the band & she’s still trying hard to get the group back together to squeeze money out of their fame which was long gone but she didn’t take advantage of their fame during their heyday just because she wanted to pursue a solo career & earn all by herself & not share the spotlight with the other girls.
i disagree with how geri left as well, but i don't get why people only blame her for them breaking up. if she hadn't left, then i think mel b would've since she was the first to release a solo song at the end of the world tour. all of them wanted to go off and do other things (hence why they seemed so uninterested during press for forever and barely promoted it). mel c and victoria were definitely over being spice girls at this point and mel c in particular was also struggling a lot.
Well... Geri initiated what was going to happen anyway. If not her, then another sooner or later... Posh and Scary became pregnant anyway and they were focusing more and more on thier families. And Scary planned a solo before Ginger left... so... yeah. They were falling down at any rate - the succes of Spice Girls required 5 pieces together, extremly concentrated on band's career. They say they are more relaxed as 4 piece - it's because they have learned to respect their needs more - just like Geri did as the first of them. You are wrong about present Spice Girls, because actually Mell B is "trying hard to get the group back together to... " right after her is Emma and then Geri - I heard this in 2018 interview on YT. You made up for it and believed in some bad rumors just because you don't like her and this is convenient for you.

Also now that we know we close and intimate Geri and Mel B once were, the fact that there was friction between them during their tour and Mel B not treating Geri right, makes us all more understanding how upset she must have felt. As you said Victoria and Mel B were pregnant anyway so Spice Girls were gonna take a long ass break to give birth, get married and take some time off whether Geri was there or not. In fact i felt she was less of a hypocrite by leaving. Mel C afterwards said she didn't wanna be a Spice Girl anymore after she started her solo thing and kind of regrets Forever. And the other three just released that final album and then 2 months later happily abandoned it and just carried on with their solos. Geri gave her all to the Spice Girls and left when she was depressed and unhappy and then just did her solo thing til 2007. People basicly just remember them as a 5piece and for the first two albums anyway. Even most fans did not buy Forever.
