I know this is twelve years old, but these tutorials are the best ones I have ever seen. You helped me figure out why I wasn’t able to get past a certain point in the beginning learning process. The angles you had the camera at were just right. Many people trying to teach tatting either don’t go slow enough or the angle is such I couldn’t quite see what they were doing. I wish you had continued and done more. I subscribed so I can keep these precious tutorials for reference. Maybe I’ll get lucky and you will do some more. You are a really good teacher. ❤
Just found your video. I learned to tat at age 7 from my great grandmother. Have not picked up tatting for almost 60 years but I wanted to make something very special for my first grand baby. Thanks to your clear and patient videos I am able to find the talents hidden in my mind. Have a shuttle from Grandmother made from ivory, framed and safe forever. You have brought me much joy. Thanks is a very small way of passing forward the talents of our world.
I have been needle tatting for more than a decade but the shuttle tatting method has eluded me. After seeing your videos, I'm going to try again. Thank you so much.
So glad l found you ,tried to do stuttering tatting ,but couldn't do it as the ones showing how to do it was way to fast to understand . Your great for anyone learning to do this . l was so close to just giving up. Thanks for helping me. I'm going to tell the lady at the store where l got my stuff to tell everyone. If they need help to look at your video's again thanks so much. 🤗
I understand the concept of working the threads inside of the stitches at the beginning. How do you work in the thread ends at the completion of what you are doing? There are no threads to tie them off to work in as I have been doing.
Thank you so much :) For a long time I wasn't able to finish the bracelet I ws making because the thread got over. I'll be able to do it now so Thank you.!
I'm just wondering: what if you're wanting to hide your ends, but the pattern calls for say, two double stitches and then a picot? would it still be secure if just hidden under 2 double stitches? Great tutorials!!

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I am an absolute beginner and your video helped me a lot.

Clear instruction. Easy to understand.

Great tutorials!!
I hide my ends like this video and hide them with picots, too. A picot counts as a ds and will still hide the tails. Hope I'm making sense.
Very well done instructions, thankyou
thanks for the well described and filmed video.
Is the method same when we have to do a ring and not a chain? And what about when the shuttle thread runs out and we have to add another one?
Does this method work when you run out of thread and have to add in new?
Where do you get your lovely shuttles?
Hi, thank you for the video. I can't get the second ring made into something that's closeable, what am I doing wrong?
