I have a random roll with Shoot to Loot/Incandescent and I can't say or stress how nice it is having the AoE explosion instantly collect ammo and orbs for you. Super fun combo
As far as I'm aware, Incandescent's explosion doesn't proc Shoot to Loot, because it technically isn't an explosion, it doesn't deal damage, it merely spreads an effect within a radius, and that effect deals damage.
Just based on the first min of the video, I agree. I rarely use scout rifles, but i needed to get scout rifle kills for a bounty and just happened to pick this one up. So, I figured, why not? Let's just get this over with. It felt so nice to use. I'm definitely looking forward to crafting this gun.
Strategist + incandescent is an interesting roll. I believe scorch kills give class energy and it synergies with exotics like khepris horn, hallow fire, lorely, hazardous propulsion
@@jonahbrown5669 the thing is you're using a scout, if you NEED heal clip on it that's more of an issue on how you're using it. I can see the argument of using it to farm benevolence for fast abilities but realistically there are PLENTY of better ways to take advantage of that in a team setting so healclip is not necessary on this thing especially considering it's a 120. These things are built for ranged combat especially with the tex origin trait being the main thing that promotes hipfire on 120s and this one doesn't even have the trait so there's no need to play aggressive with them, thus no need for heal clip.
I think bungie needs to re-think how most elemental weapons work cause if I see an arc weapon with Voltshot that's what I'm going for no matter what, if I see a solar weapon with incandescent then that's it nothing else and if I see a void weapon with destabilizing rounds that's what I will go for even more so if I can also roll repulsor brace. most of the time if I see any elemental weapon (not heavy) that doesn't have any of these perks I just pretend it doesn't exist unless it slays in PvP which funnily enough most guns that do have these perks are also really good in PvP which makes me yet again forget about all the guns that don't have these perks.
Just used this on my flawless run after seeing Cross use it in the last video. This thing really cooks (on certain maps). Walked into the lighthouse cowboy af
I got a drop of this early on that allowed me to load 3 rounds at a time. Feels crispy to only reload 4 times on one of these to get back up to 12 in the mag.
I never got a healclip+incandescent luna's, but now that I crafted this I don't even need it anymore. This gun feels so amazing to shoot, and I love how ultra fast healclip procs on it. And with arrowhead + freehand grip it feels great to hipfire too, almost as good as DMT used to.
I ran a Strategist/Highrground Wayfarer with Claperone/Traveler's Chosen to keep out of people's ranges or play aggressive when necessary. Got me to the lighthouse and I was very satisfied with the weapon's consistency.
I’m in love. I have 1000 crucible kills one this thing. It got me solo flawless, it’s SO good. I run max range except barrel where I have Arrowhead Break and my perks are Keep Away + Precision Instrument both enhanced. You could go To The Pain as well, it’s a toss up in my opinion.
@@jackwelch_7657 I guess so. Didn’t realize that until cross said it. Don’t know if it’s fully removed or just significantly decreased. As why would they fully remove it but not remove the negatives to slick draw or gunshot straight?
The other weapon I can’t wait for that I hope act 2 has is the solar rocket sidearm. The trace rifle also looks really good and the retrofit solar version looking decent (obviously not having volatile rounds won’t make it as good, but still)
Gunna be Crafting Healclip x Incandescent for my Precious Scars Titan! I'm still interested in shoot to loot with Incandescent + the Radiolaria Perk. It works SO well with Headstone on the AR! Lots of booms = AOE = Shoot to Loot works.
Ended up with Heal clip and High ground. I like precision instrument but i just wasn't accurate enough to get the use out of it, so now i got a play style forcing me into a better position of cover to gain a more free 25% damage increase.
I have been pairing this (Shoot to Loot/Incan) with The Call (Lead from Gold/OfA) in PVE. Solid pairing since the Radiolarian fluid can help pick up bricks and get ammo for The Call 👍🏻
Incandescent and all element perks are always top tier i hope they give stasis something that can spread more slow like the one in the artifact but a weapon perk or subclass perk
When I made my warlock first thing I grabbed out of my vault was a scout rifle I feel like they don't get enough love or appreciation because one they're not as powerful or good as bows however just hear me out they are better than snipers I feel like they're more versatile and they hold a lot more ammo plus they're just aesthetically pleasing to look at than a sniper
Mine dropped with dual loader and precision instrument and that dual loader changes the game for reloading when playing Titan or Warlock since you can reload with your class ability as Hunter
Original pre change DMT back when cranial spike gave the scaling damage boost was so damn good, an absolute monster in PVE and PvP. Ever since the changes though, even though it still feels good in pvp for the most part it is just a shadow of it’s former self and it makes me feel bad using it. I am glad we finally have a Yee haw scout worth using in PVE again though with the wayfarer
Watched crosses other video and tried this for trials, before I never would have touched it but after using it in trials I had so much fun. Sadly won't use it much but it's so much fun
Dead Man's Tale is one of my most used weapons. I could see this being that, but man it's hard to want to swap out Sun Shot for basically any other solar weapon in this slot.
Too many people are sleeping on this weapon. I got incandescent and heal clip my first drop and hip fire grip and it feels amazing. Like a solar DMT but better
Anyone catch if Radiolaria kills proc Incandescent? IMO Dual Loader or Heal Clip with Incandescent- enough add clear from Incandescent and you don’t need to worry about the slower reload time. And that Origin Trait AOE is already freaking insane on its own
Keep Away + Incandescent is what i ended up with on this... Keep Away is just so good and its so generous with how short range enemies have to be from you.
Fun fact, if you rock a freehand grip mod, and max reload, it’s the fastest activated heal clip from the hip in game. AND, if you reload cancel, the animation from the gun cancels out the bloom from the hip, making it more accurate than just laying on the trigger. CAN’T WAIT TO PUT THOUSANDS OF KILLS ON MINE WITH HEAL CLIP + INCANDESCENT
Kinda buggin out at the whole scope and body of the weapon shifting when you fire it but the center dot changes positions to stay centered. It doesn't hurt the usability since it stays on target but it's kinda visually jarring. Didn't know you could do 4 rounds at a time with enhance dual loader that's freaking neat. Would like to get dual loader with heal clip, I know it's not optimal but being able to reload to full in 3 loads is pretty damn quick for lever scouts.
I love the vibe of this archetype, I just hate that it suffers from bungie’s fear of scouts. I kinda wish they would lean in the direction of 120 scouts being a primary ammo shotgun. not overpowered but just cut the range and lean into this being a close range destructive machine, hip firing death at smg/sidearm range then give it better range and reduced movement when ADS
Bungie: we are going to nerf Red Death Me, using my healclip, precision instrument Timeworn Wayfarer: Oh no. Anyways... Also, I'm pretty sure you can get a kill in 2 heads with precision instrument at time 5 stacks on any resilience(not too different from old DMT)
Imo this is bungie reimagining the vault of glass weapons. Yk since those were just reskins back in launch d1. It helps that they also sound unique and are good to use. I wish one day we get a 720 rpm auto with onslaught and I can imagine it's atheons epilogue
Like it, got dual laoder, which is such a good QoL perk. But I think the feel of Last Rite and The prophet is better especially close to mid range. Then again scouts are long range. Also the stats are weaker than the other 120.
I got a long arm but havnt used it yet. Also got the machine gun with triple tap and target lock. Havnt gotten any other roll for the machine gun but I like it
my build has been keep away and incandescent for PvE, with a reload masterwork and flared mag it reloads incredibly fast without dual loader. I like heal clip but I'd rather get my healing from say healthy finisher or aspect of mending
I heard someone call this thing a Vex Mechanica weapon and I will forever love that
Aaaaaaannnnnnd now I'm gunna have to tell everyone in the clan this one! That is superb 👌😄
That's fantastic
That is so damn clever lmao 😂

As far as I'm aware, Incandescent's explosion doesn't proc Shoot to Loot, because it technically isn't an explosion, it doesn't deal damage, it merely spreads an effect within a radius, and that effect deals damage.
It’s the Radiolaria Perk not incandescent that does it
Last i checked, incandescent does not work with shoot to loot
I had this roll combo since day one. Absolutely love it. Incandescent + Heal Clip. Bang bang BOOM 💥

I hate scouts, and I especially hate these repeater type scouts. But this one absolutely slaps
I love these types of scouts! Anything to make myself feel more Space Cowboy!
Nobody talking about the best part of this aggressive scout... IT HAS A SCOPE
Crafted mine with dual loader/incandescent and I’m digging it. Feels good to use in PvE.
Run mine with heel clip incandescent. Keeps me going even in higher difficulty content.
That’s the roll I’m gonna go for
I did the same and reloading 4 rounds is very nice to have.
Dual loader on this thing seems like more of a PvP thing. Can't see it being useful in PvE when Heal Clip is so strong on this scout rifle archetype

Base mag 12.. enhanced dual loader reloads 4 bullets in one reload action. The negative reload speed is unnoticeable
Didn’t they remove the reload speed penalty?
