(1) Yellow Wine or Huangjiu (黄酒) is one of the famous spirits traditionally made in China. It is non-distilled and usually made from rice, resembling sake in some ways. The definitive type of Yellow Wine is Sculpted Flower Wine (花雕酒), also called Daughter Red (女儿红), made in the city of Shaoxing. The first name refers to the way the wine jar is often decorated. The show goes on to explain the second name.
