FEEDBACK NEEDED! For the Nixxiom Merch Store (link in desc) which class should I make a t-shirt design for next? So far we have DK, Warlock and Paladin.
I can count on zero finger the times I enjoyed BattleRoyal including all the varius movies, this shitfest of a game mode wont change that any time soon.
I think this would have been 2-3x better if it was just warcraft theme and not pirate. Why Pirate? ..... I might be the only person in this world who thinks Pirates are cringe and corny lol... it's on the same level as Cowboys and Indians - I think just doing this more in the warcraft theme would have helped sell this idea.

It’s absolutely awful and all of you UA-camrs are shilling for it because you don’t actually like WoW and this is Fortnite-at-Home and we are supposed to eat it up. Call it for what it is, an asset flip mini game embedded in the client. It’s not WoW, and where our retail product is dying on the vine, dev time wasted on shit like this makes me want my sub money back.
I mean your idea of making a survival game in the world of azeroth sounds awesome just because I like the locations in Warcraft, but the new mode itself is not really a good thing right? I mean it's great to branch out of the 20 year old system and all but trying to have a subscription to a game-mode readily available just about everywhere for FREE is kinda dumb. If i wanna shut my brain off while doing something not WoW then I do something not WoW.
Right now its really a fun little game mode but there is potential, even with skins in plunderstorm etc. More abilities, more maps, squad play. maybe healing skills and so on. There is alot of potential
I don't play battle royale because pvp type games stress me out and that is not why I play a video game I play wow because I can pve and it is a mmorpg

Not a battle royale player but the game mode does show many great mechanics that makes the game enjoyable. For instance skillfull gameplay, there are barely any lock in abilities, even auto attack is an ability you can cast making it able to be dodged if you’re opponent is good enough, you abilities feel like it matters so it doesn’t feel you did all your cool-downs n you just tickled 2% HP of the opponent. Second minimalism: Your class in wow usually has like 20 to 30 active abilities you need to remember to use the medium power of your class & in an 3v3 pvp you also got to remember the ally n opponents abilities wich makes you need to remember like 120 abilities(ich) so to see this game mode only to have 7 active slots makes it very easily to control n remember. Third new abilities: There are so many abilities that seem to be actually fun if the classes gain an hold to it such as the arcane time bomb or the kamehameha orb, they feel so good to use n they hit as you expect it to be. The thing I do wish that could change in an pvp view that the way health is lost or regains feels very dice rolling, one moment you take no damage n all of an sudden you feel like you just got hit by an truck driving by Garrosh, there is just this uncertainty of losing n gaining health wich becomes very frustrated when you think you doing well but it doesn’t show it you do.
I don't love it, but i dont hate it either. I enjoyed what little I played of it, but it's not something I'm gonna put much time into. I do like that they did something like this.
I personally think WoW themed games of all kinds would be cool, as many other series have successfully done spin offs while still making a good base game (like the Persona series as an example.) It's just blizzard has really fumbled the bag on it and is always really late to whatever ones are actually popular amongst gamers in the prime time to do so. My thoughts on Plunderstorm is it's cool, and I don't mind if they learn some things from it for the base game or whatever possibility of a WoW reboot/reset. And for stuff like Plunderstorm to be main stays in Blizzards catalog. But definitely hope WoW never gets rid of it's staple RPG roots and tab target playstyle it's had since it was released. (Atleast don't strip it's essential/rpg elements more than they already did so far. Even if in recent years they're starting to go back to them a lil bit with new talent trees and stuff.) By your logic, they should just delete PvP entirely lol. The player base is so PvE oriented because the game is so complicated and people get intimidated by the idea of being bodied by try hards. Simplifying PvP is the exact thing they need to do if they want more people to partake in it.

I disagree. They are completely out of touch. Who is this for?. Kids will play this over Fortnite?. Wow players which are 40+ years old and hate Fortnite will play it?. No and no. The only reason this exists is future monetization.
I disagree on the audience of who will play this. I don't think Battle Royales are strictly for a younger audience; PUBG is evidence of that. I think Plunderstorm is just meant to be a game mode to keep people engaged with WoW (and keep their subscriptions active) while everyone is waiting for the release of SoD Phase 3, Cata Classic, and War Within. I think Blizzard dropping a replayable and new-approach game mode during this down time is actually a good thing. They know the playerbase is overall bored right now, they know that WoW isn't hot at the moment, and so they want to keep people interested in the game until the new expansions (or SoD Phase) goes live. I genuinely hope they do this again in the future, perhaps near the end of the War Within. Maybe as we're waiting for Midnight to be released after War Within, we can see a survival mini-game added to WoW to keep players engaged. It's all harmless fun.

Every content creator is praising Plunderstorm, and I just don't get it. Normally even if I disagree with some of these guys, I can see where theyre coming from. But this is blowing my mind. There is nothing appealing about this to me whatsoever. Thn I download it thinking I'm being pessimistic and maybe I just need to try it for myself, and it was terrible. The abilities aren't fun, the combat is clunky, I don't know what the deal is with pirates, and overall to me its just a crappy version of a battle royal with a wow pirate theme. At first I was frustrated that the game I love is lacking content and they were spending their time with this, but I dont even think this took more than a few weeks from start to finish. There's only one map? We can only be pirates? No weapons? I dont get this hype at all.
Get a helmet. Life is Hard. People are cuuming! Ques of 60 are 3 seconds long, and they go 15 minutes max. There are literally millions playing. It will get the game big again if done correctly. Way better if they Update the combat this way. Im addicted
I'm glad there is new warcraft content but I think WoW players have rose tinted goggles. This looks like crap. in my opinion. Look at any other game in this genre, plunderstorm's gameplay and style look ancient. Seriously, imagine if plunderstorm had a sort of unreal-engine visual/art style and an action-game style hack+slash or 3rd person bow/gun play. It's pirated themed after all so guns could work. This just looks like a classic WoW battleground without the power creep that comes with open world and instanced pvp. Would love for blizzard to take some risks!!!
I have only played about 50 plunder storm matches but what I have found is if you aren't constantly focusing on killing nps and lvling up you quickly fall behind in lvls and it's no competition. Even lvl 4-5 feels like such a jump in damage and health. LVLing up the skills is cool but personally Id rather no character lvling.
plunderstorm is only played by wow players till they get to renown 40 that they never touch it again. its bad game design. its not fun. its riddled with bots and hackers. wow is a mmo. it should stay a mmo. battle royale games are out dated and blizzard is pretty out of touch with this blunderstorm.
I don't see how this is fun at all. It is just a mini-game in Fortnite/PUBG style that just further moves away from WoW being an RPG and is instead of a strip mall of mindless mini-games. Hard pass.
I don't see why it has to be such a big deal to you. If you don't like, you don't have to play it. This is separate from the main game and there are people enjoying it. Wow is still getting its updates. You have a new expansion to look forward to in less than a years time. Meanwhile, mythic dungeons and M+ are receiving a significant overhaul in difficulty with regular mythics, rewarding stronger gear to catch up. So look forward to that content, get some friends together, gear up some alts and have fun with the rpg you're paying for and let the people that are enjoying this new game mode have fun with a short change of pace.
I never got on the fortnite craze because i hate battle royal. I hate pvp and couldn’t care less about this mode. But because transmogs and mounts are locked behind it, i am forced to play it, and that pisses me off
Then don't? it's not the end of the world if you don't play the thing for cosmetics for the sake of your enjoyment. You're not forced to do shit at all. I missed out on all the pandaria challenge modes mounts and archimonde aotc mount BECAUSE i wasn't old enough to play wow back then, i got over it, i really wanted them, but i wasn't born in the right time to get these. I know FOMO is awful but you don't have to get everything.

Its funny because I hate battle royale games but blizzards take with it in plunderstorm is kinda fun. Only reason Im continuing to play is just for all the transmog rewards tho
Land, do quest, die. Land, do quest, die. Land, do quest, die. For - at least - 40 hours. From a PvP perspective it's even less balanced than actual WoW, despite having a significantly reduced toolkit available. Like many PvP games, the optimal strategy is... to avoid pvp. Kill the rares, open the chests, die once you have ~400 rep. Takes about 5 minutes, including the lobby. Or you could try to win, or even win, and get... 600 rep. 700, maybe. And it takes 15minutes. It's not WoW. It'd be fine if this was just a bonus thing they added. It's not that. It's a thing they built secrecy and hype for. It's a thing that they teased intentionally... knowing the majority of WoW players don't care about PvP.
I would like them to add the removal of all addons to all versions of WOW and the 7 Abilities across all the iterations of WOW so we can have less of this try hard sweaty meta crap that excludes people rather than includes them in what is supposed to be an MMO and a community driven game and it is no longer that at all and hasn't been for a long time. A friend of mine told me yesterday he was getting asked for parses for a level 25 Raid I had to laugh at the stupidity of it Retails sweaty 2% elite rolling over into SOD asking for something as stupid as parses for a level 25 Raid I mean wtf has this game come to.
Dude, imagine if Blizzard made a WoW moba! That would be so cool. They could use popular lore characters as champions and pit players against each other. That would be crazy!
Not gonna be rude or try to make you sound dumb, as myself didn't even really hear of it until recently as a WoW vet since OG vanilla. But Blizzard did do a moba for WoW pretty much, called Heroes of Storm and it failed miserably, within like 2 years of it dropping they shut it down and pulled the plug on it all together.

In wich way does it copy Fortnite? lol, having a cloud that makes the map smaller? doesent feel like fortnite what so ever, as its not a FPS. Same thing can be said about Fortnite then, Fornite copies H1Z1 and PUBG wich came before Fornite. u can say things like that about other games then, League of legends copies Dota 2 and the original Dota. I think that working on improving how it feels to play WoW is much more important than getting more content of the same thing. I think that toying with the idea of simplifying the gameplay is a good step in the right direction, even if it is only a single step.

I think what people fail to realize is the reason there is so much negativity toward Plunderstorm is because all of the baddies are doing what they do best and complaining about it on the internet to commiserate. Meanwhile, the rest of us who know how to have fun are just... playing Plunderstorm. The renown grind didn't feel like a grind, because the game mode is just fun. But no, please by all means, pigeonhole Blizz into catering to your own innane wants for how Blizzard should make content.

This just looks like a classic WoW battleground without the power creep that comes with open world and instanced pvp.

I have only played about 50 plunder storm matches but what I have found is if you aren't constantly focusing on killing nps and lvling up you quickly fall behind in lvls and it's no competition. Even lvl 4-5 feels like such a jump in damage and health. LVLing up the skills is cool but personally Id rather no character lvling.

plunderstorm is only played by wow players till they get to renown 40 that they never touch it again. its bad game design. its not fun. its riddled with bots and hackers. wow is a mmo. it should stay a mmo. battle royale games are out dated and blizzard is pretty out of touch with this blunderstorm.

I don't see how this is fun at all. It is just a mini-game in Fortnite/PUBG style that just further moves away from WoW being an RPG and is instead of a strip mall of mindless mini-games. Hard pass.

I don't see why it has to be such a big deal to you. If you don't like, you don't have to play it. This is separate from the main game and there are people enjoying it. Wow is still getting its updates. You have a new expansion to look forward to in less than a years time. Meanwhile, mythic dungeons and M+ are receiving a significant overhaul in difficulty with regular mythics, rewarding stronger gear to catch up. So look forward to that content, get some friends together, gear up some alts and have fun with the rpg you're paying for and let the people that are enjoying this new game mode have fun with a short change of pace.

I missed out on all the pandaria challenge modes mounts and archimonde aotc mount BECAUSE i wasn't old enough to play wow back then, i got over it, i really wanted them, but i wasn't born in the right time to get these. I know FOMO is awful but you don't have to get everything.

From a PvP perspective it's even less balanced than actual WoW, despite having a significantly reduced toolkit available. Like many PvP games, the optimal strategy is... to avoid pvp. Kill the rares, open the chests, die once you have ~400 rep. Takes about 5 minutes, including the lobby. Or you could try to win, or even win, and get... 600 rep. 700, maybe. And it takes 15minutes.
It's not WoW. It'd be fine if this was just a bonus thing they added. It's not that. It's a thing they built secrecy and hype for. It's a thing that they teased intentionally... knowing the majority of WoW players don't care about PvP.

I would like them to add the removal of all addons to all versions of WOW and the 7 Abilities across all the iterations of WOW so we can have less of this try hard sweaty meta crap that excludes people rather than includes them in what is supposed to be an MMO and a community driven game and it is no longer that at all and hasn't been for a long time.
A friend of mine told me yesterday he was getting asked for parses for a level 25 Raid I had to laugh at the stupidity of it Retails sweaty 2% elite rolling over into SOD asking for something as stupid as parses for a level 25 Raid I mean wtf has this game come to.

Not gonna be rude or try to make you sound dumb, as myself didn't even really hear of it until recently as a WoW vet since OG vanilla. But Blizzard did do a moba for WoW pretty much, called Heroes of Storm and it failed miserably, within like 2 years of it dropping they shut it down and pulled the plug on it all together.

it's hard to believe Plunderstorm is as fun as it is. I don't like battle royals. I barely like WoW as it is. Arathi Basin is a super unremarkable zone. And here we are I cannot have enough of this stuff.

Hell, why not have players develop their own dungeons and eventually raids and set loot governed by key rules.

In wich way does it copy Fortnite? lol, having a cloud that makes the map smaller? doesent feel like fortnite what so ever, as its not a FPS. Same thing can be said about Fortnite then, Fornite copies H1Z1 and PUBG wich came before Fornite. u can say things like that about other games then, League of legends copies Dota 2 and the original Dota. Does it make LoL garbage? no, all of the above game has its own twists on genre. Is POE bad cause it copies the general idea of other dungeon crawlers like Diablo 2 ? no

@@dovahsween3378 Seems like a pretty vague ask to me. Sure, that would be a nice touch for existing, long time players, but I doubt it would entice many people to come back. I think that working on improving how it feels to play WoW is much more important than getting more content of the same thing. I think that toying with the idea of simplifying the gameplay is a good step in the right direction, even if it is only a single step.

Not a good thing. Well, they can do what they want. But what certainly aint a good thing is adding 40 ranks to this, put transmogs, mounts toys etc behind this and force people to endure through this shite for hours and hours if they like it or hate it. BR was great in 2016.

I think what people fail to realize is the reason there is so much negativity toward Plunderstorm is because all of the baddies are doing what they do best and complaining about it on the internet to commiserate. Meanwhile, the rest of us who know how to have fun are just... playing Plunderstorm. The renown grind didn't feel like a grind, because the game mode is just fun. But no, please by all means, pigeonhole Blizz into catering to your own innane wants for how Blizzard should make content.
