A great success for Artemiev, he's now nearly equal to Svidler in live rating. And the interview shows how down-to-earth and modest he is; and very respectful when you see how he greets his opponents - that is class.
A true chess gentleman, it shows when slightly standing up when shaking hands with his opponents, the way he handle the pieces is so elegant, a new favorite player of mine.
Great win, from a great guy. Heard he just got married 3 months ago and had to walk from Spain over the border to Gibraltar every day, it took about 45 minutes, he really needed this just to show himself if not the world that he has what it takes.

Great tournament, poor live coverage. Half way through the youtube stream, just as Yu Yang Yi - Artemiev was coming to a head, some idiot decided to end the video. Abysmal. Yes, I had to work so was watching late.
I agree. But it has to be said that Jovanka Housta is by far the best female chess comentator. Simon is very lazy, but he is not bad and has good synergy with Jovanka so that is pretty nice.
@@TheGPel Yes, I wasn't referring to the commentators. I like both Williams and Houska. Especially Houska. I'm only disappointed with the fact they ended the UA-cam stream just as I was watching the crucial moments. Tough for us late comers. Why not let it play on?

Now he will go home and listen to music with his wife. Such a humble man yet a daring powerful chess player.
Hes already married?

Such a humble guy he is. Congrats for winning the Gibraltar chess 2019
So happy for him. Congratulations Vlad!
He looks like the love child of Eddy Redmayne and Magnus Carlsen
hahahahah
bruu stop
Seems like a fine, humble young man! Best of luck to him for the future! 👏🏼
im so happy for artemiev. his handshakes looks decent too!

Vlad congratz! Amazing performance!
Владислав, поздравляю! Блестящая победа! Не останавливайся!
C'est un jeune homme charmant, doux, respectueux mais combatif, avec une réelle personnalité; quelque chose d'artistique, même...
One big "Vladi" is replaced by another one.
Vlad is lav baby dont hurt me
Amazing performance, I wish that your next appearance will be even stronger
Wow, he’s so cool! I’m his new fan now
Because his Russian?

Congrats to Vlad
He is the handshake king
Why cant magnus be nice like him
Молоток ! Мне нравится его английский !
The equation is: Magnus Carlsen + David Navara = Vladislav Artemiev
Does this qualify him for the Candidates? and is it just Rosacia?
Artemiev looks eerily similar to Carlsen in some manner
Latest couple of games showed that carlsen had to sweat against vladislav way to go artemiev
Magnus - Vladislav SCC produced some absolutely beautiful games. the only series I've watched start to finish
He is 20 years old and he has a wife !!!!!
Yes my friend, its not America or Europe its Russia with traditional orientation !

He nearly got the world championship blitz 2018
No one led Carlsen in any of the rounds.
Vladislav deserves to be 2800+
I shouldn’t be saying this as a noob but still
Yea I think he has the calibre to become a world champion
He speaks like chuky
