The minimalism of the score is what made this movie so epic. But everyone has their own opinion. I personally loved how the movie opened with an eery silence, same with many other scenes. It was perfect.
i went to watch the film thinking that Ledger will over shadow Batman and Bruce Wanye, but i was wrong, Ledger was still amazing and Batman and Bruce Wayne were still interesting.
LOOL the best score.. you might rethink WHO rely is stupid here! The worst hging about this score are its fans. Claiming a few synthy Horns together with a little clicking which is omnipresent to kick-ass and be something special. And Zimmer said that he wrote "the loud stuff" and Howard the more quiet stuff (Harvey Dent fr.) - as you can hear, because JNH's parts of the score actually sound like MUSIC snd not like boring noise trying to be art!!
no it distracted from it. you can write dark music without being that minimalistic! Only good parts are by James Newton Howard who strangely never gets mentioned on any TDK OST discussion?!
Just came back from the film.. Dude this film was so awesome, it needs to be rescored badly!! This music is the most uncrative crap I know.. drum-computer and a little E-guitar riff.. plus some minimalistic instrument uses.. baaah boring as hell

"Why so serious?"
That monologue was total nightmare fuel!
The music was actually one of the best things about this masterpiece. It added alot to the dark, and disturbing atmosphere.
Watched it changed my life.
Great film
the famous question: WHY SO SERIOUS?
