I love the style they've used for the buildings and i'm so impressed with how the houses interact with each other. Not even Anno has that! But it seems that you can't really use this as a city builder, and if i can't build a pretty town then i don't want it. I'd love to see if you can make it a nice town though!
Love it so far. They need to be balancing it more, so not just building in the beginning and after that only fighting, but the base of the game is awesome!
I was real excited when this was first announced a few years ago. They said this game would be going back to their roots and become a modern take on the classic Settlers games we all love. They didn't stay true to their promise and many people are disappointed, I certainly am. Maybe if you're picking this game up for the first time and have not played the earlier Settlers its passable but only just. It feels like an Indie title but we're being charged a AAA price!
Can someone tell me what needs to be done to ensure that the units that attack buildings have a greater range than the defensive tower? Someone is constantly attacking me in multiplayer and I do all the research and still I have to get so close that the units are within the range of the tower when attacking.
I usually only play the campaign of Settlers and Anno and like games, skirmishes are a bit too boring for me, so I'm not too disappointed in the game and I really love the style. But I've had crashes and a couple of times where it wouldn't close normally. I also play/have played Settlers 2 (10th anniversary), 5, 6, and 7, and liked all of them. This one is more like 2 in my opinion. 6 is a lot more complicated with buildings, needs, tiers, and stuff. Hopefully, there will be updates, patches, and DLCs.

Nope. No need for it.

This game isn't really 'wowing' me, from what i can see it's basically one step up from a mobile game and not really worth the 60 dollar price tag.
