I know it's probably too late to change anything now, but I thought one way to solve the non-aligning box tops could be to make the second half (on Legendary box) non-imagery? Perhaps solid black with some symmetrical Scythe design motives running through, so that it would look elegant regardless of the box top used?
Looks awesome. I think I'll cut my numbered box and glue it into the inside of the new top. And those smaller boxes are awesome too. Now I want one in each player colour to hold pieces for each player. It'd be a nice way to hand out the pieces each player needs. I can dream...
Totally worth it and useful, especially if you wanna carry Scythe with its expansions to wherever you go so you can play it wherever you go, and it keeps original boxes from any possible damage. Thanks, Jamey.

I am definitively getting this box... Do I have space for it? Noo, not at all... But wow is it beautiful... I need a bigger house, I've got several super large games coming in from Kickstarter in the next months, and my 5*5 kallax shelf is already stuffed... And now this? Good grief... I guess I'll have to send away one of the kids and store the less interesting games in their room... Way to think outside the box (no pun intended), with that distribution... I love the consideration that went into this product.
I got this box as a gift and I have a few criticisms about it. For starters, the insert boxes are not big enough to comfortably fit the expansions, making you either force the contents into a box and risking damage to the components and the insert box itself, or not use insert boxes entirely (which is what I opted to do). I was able to get Invaders to fit initially but The Wind Gambit doesn't doesn't fit inside it's box at all. Not unless you want to take your airships out of their plastic insert and have them rumbling around freely inside it's expansion box, which I don't. Can't speak for Fenris since it's not out yet. Second, the three insert boxes are extremely flimsy. Now while I received this as a gift, the friend that purchased it for me was under the impression that since there was such a large price tag on what is essentially 'just a box' that he assumed that all the components would be of exceptional quality. That is not the case and he was probably even more disappointed than I was when he learned that. The Legendary box itself is very sturdy and high quality but the inserts are the exact opposite, being very low quality and nearly paper thin. Since the inserts don't hold the contents of the current two expansions comfortably, I felt the boxes were over-stuffed to the point that they may actually tear. They were that flimsy. I tried for literally 10-15 minutes to try and figure out a way to get The Wind Gambit to work with it's insert box without damaging it or the components before I had to give up. Not only did I realize that it wasn't worth trying to get it into the insert, I also realized that even if I did manage to find a way, I'd have to do that every single time I got the game out to play. So, that wasn't worth it at all. Third, The three insert boxes fit in the primary Legendary Box side by side so tightly that it's nearly impossible to remove them. This isn't as big an issue as you can see in this video, you don't need to store them side by side. However, when I first tried to store my game inside the legendary box, I initially had them stored that way as it was the most efficient way to fit everything inside it and I had to literally turn the entire Legendary Box upside down and shake it repeatedly to loosen the insert boxes enough to be removed. That's just incredibly silly. IMO, these were easy issues that should have been resolved before putting a 40 dollar empty box on the market. The three inserts could have been slightly larger to accommodate the expansions with ease. The quality of the insert boxes should be much better considering the price tag and should durable, high quality boxes in their own right. The legendary box itself should be able to accommodate the three insert boxes side by side, utilizing the space of the legendary box in the most efficient way while allowing you to be able to remove them with relative ease, instead of effectively strong-arming those that use it to put their insert boxes inside the legendary box in a bizarre, unorthodox, inefficient manner just so they can be removed later without resorting to turning the big box upside down so you can shake them loose. All that being said, it's a nice box. But once you consider everything, it should be an utterly amazing box. It's not.

They were the idea of people who requested the Legendary Box in the first place--they were worried stuff would slide around while they were still obtaining all the Scythe things, so they wanted some tightly fitting spacers to fill out that space temporarily.
Well, I have since purchased the Scythe Organizer and Scythe Legendary Organizer from The Broken Token to compliment this box. And I must say, they're pretty great. Those inserts make this box well worth a recommendation. Once assembled, they fit masterfully inside the box and keep every aspect of the game organized quite neatly, as you would expect from their names. It makes the setup and teardown of the game far less tedious as well as being of high quality and quite aesthetically pleasing. There are some things to consider. The first is the investment. The inserts cost more than the game itself. They are NOT cheap. Second, you have to assemble the inserts yourself, which took me several hours to do. It's a pain in the a**. However, if you're willing to invest the time and money on inserts, then I can absolutely recommend the Legendary Box. They probably don't even have to be Broken Token inserts, those are just the ones I purchased. But without some kind of inserts that were designed with this box in mind, I just can't recommend purchasing the Legendary Box. Just being as honest as I can be, but I think people would be better off keeping the game in their original boxes instead of fumbling around trying to make this one big box work. And to reiterate, that's only if they have no intentions of purchasing an insert for the box. If they don't mind investing in an insert, then I think the Legendary Box is well worth the investment as well.

I got custom foam insert for the base game and the first expansion, I'd love to know if I can use those with that box. :P 35€ for an empty box is a lot indeed. :/

It seems like the Invaders from Afar box is the same length as the regular Scythe box, and that basically 3 expansions will fit in a row in the Legendary box, having the same dimensions as the regular box with the extra height to accommodate the expansions. That is going to be a great way to store the entire Scythe experience!
I don't have a copy of the game yet. Wouldn't it be great to be able to buy the legendary box with the game and expansions inside it? Saves a lot with shipping cost.
The Legendary Box isn't meant to hold the expansion boxes--just the content inside the expansions. Check out the recent Broken Token video for one method.

Independent companies specializing in custom inserts will make insert add-ons to fit inside the Legendary Box. Out of respect for them (and the many customers who have bought custom inserts from those companies), we will not be making our own custom insert.
Those filler boxes are really nice. Since I have a custom insert and preordered the additional insert for the next expansion, I may not need them inside my Legendary box. Which means I'll have some pretty boxes for other gaming implements. Gonna use one for my roleplaying materials. :) Can't wait for it to arrive! But now I am torn over whether to use my Kickstarter box top and mess up that awesome imagery, or leave the awesome imagery the heck alone, haha....I can always use my original Scythe box to hold art supplies I suppose. Love the art on the legendary box!

John-Paul: We'll continue to offer Scythe, expansions, accessories, promos, etc separately so people can pick and choose what they want (and not spend money on stuff they don't want). There's no legendary edition, just a Legendary Box. :)
Is this box coming back in stock anytime soon in the near future?? No one seems to actually have it and I got an email from Meeple reality that they are making the add on's to their organizer once the last expansion comes out but it is all going to be made to fit within the legendary box which right now it is not able.
We haven't started making the second print run yet, but we will start making more soon. That means they'll be available to retailers in about 5 months.
Just received my Legendary Box, i can confirm the pictures on the short sides do not line up properly. The long sides look great, but both the short sides (the ones i'm going to be looking at the shelf) are very obviously misaligned; the top half and bottom half pictures are almost 1/4" shifted. Very happy with all other products but this piece is a disappointment. I very much do not like the mismatched look but I'm going to have to think about leaving my CE box top on now (because it's still better than my OCD alarm going off every time i look at the mismatched side photo).
Too bad its flimsy as shit, can't fit the expansions in the insert boxes and just tiers faster then toilet paper. Why not make a woodbox or something more durable... and for the price.. just feel scammed.
Me 2 and stegi say he search for a fix of this but now nothing comes and they make new add on :( i rly like the artwork of the toilete paper addonboxes but why he dont make it like the same quality like the real addonboxes i rly dont understand this and it feels like stegi is not a proffesional boardgamedeveloper

Why not try a suitcase with designed sponge inside to fit all the game and expansions which will also be easier to move.

Some of the retailers selling the box will offer the option to pack other Scythe expansions, promos, and accessories inside of it.

I liked the box and 3D printed smaller containers for each faction etc which does hold all the xpos.
