My school’s orchestra is doing this and uhm..There are 4 flutes- so they are having to use the piano peice as a base- I guess that’s one of the negatives of being the only non-jazz instrument in the orchestra-
I agree. There are some good ideas there, but they could have been taken further and turned it into a fun romp (in a grade 4 or 5 arrangement perhaps). It tries to do some things differently to the original, but doesn't go far enough to become its own thing, so it (IMHO) ends up sounding wrong and a bit lame when it could have been awesome. Or it could have been made simpler (keep the melody in unison) and work as a grade 2 or maybe even 1.

Saxes get some royal treatment here 😮
Was at a high school jazz band concert yesterday. They played this song.
It sounds a bit like a different song, but then it doesn’t.
Was not expecting that from Hal Leanord
I mean, Paul Murtha did do an arrangement for Megalovania, so really anything goes.
haha
@@BenthovenMusic I NEED TO FIND THAT AND PLAY IT ON MY ALTO RIGHT NOW
I need to play that on my trumpet
Has a very groovy 70s vibe to it, but I agree with the guy said it’s boring as is. It’s begging for some more solos
This may sound weird but my hs marching band is using this as our fourth movement. Very excited.
Maravilhoso!! 👏👏👏👏
Trombones are actually hearable. Especially Bass Bone
Cyberfunk 1977 be like

Nah bro as one of my schools jazz band guitarist it’s painful being so quiet
Wait, isn't it by Billie Ellish? o.O

True, par for the course when it comes to grade 2-3 charts
@@birchtree5884 kids will love it
Boring, not a good arrangement.
