When I try uploading animations, the button at the bottom that says “upload” is not there for me. So when I try uploading, I can edit the name a description but can’t actually upload the animation. How do I fix that?

The animation is kind of working? at the start of each animation cycle, my avatar's legs stay still and move to the back. why? how do i fix that?

Here are some tips to common problems:
Animation not WORKING: Make sure that your animation is OWNED by you and that BOTH IDs are changed.
Animation not LOOPING: Make sure that your animation is set to LOOPED. When you create the animation, you have to enable the looping in the animation editor itself.
Run animation not working: For run to work, your character's speed must be higher than the default of 16 (which is considered walk).

Can you show us how to make a jumping animation that messes with the ground? for example when you jump you put a little hole in the ground
I cant see what my id is. Even though i copied it i cannot paste it in the id.
if u guys are doing animations on r6 and you followed all the steps but its not working, what u have to do is go to game settings, publish the game, then go to game settings again and go down to avatar and select r6
when I play it (not on roblox studio) the animation will not play
try saving the update

If this is not working and the reason is that Purchased Animation Packs Overrides Custom Animations then go to game settings and set animations to standard
No, do this:
1. Click on file
2. In file go to game settings
3. Click avatar
4. For avatar type choose whichever one your animation is based around (R6 or R15 but don't choose Player choice because that overrides your custom animations)
5. For animation choose standard (again because it will override the animation)
6. Also set the animation priority to movement if ur making a walk/run animation

always remember put the same pose that the start was to loop for a run or idle or walk
Mine didn't work one thing I did notice with mine when I went to the idle anim script there was 2 lines of code directing to the idle animation but with yours there was 3
That just means that there’s more than one idle animation. Look at the pinned comment. Might help

Here are the steps I figured out:
1. Click on file
2. In file go to game settings
3. Click avatar

6. From there don't mess with anything else

where do i put the animation id to change the RUNNING animation?
for the people who says i doesnt work first check if its movement priority and try going to model press play delete your character folder and end it and play again and insert your animate back into characterscipts and put the id in walk instead of run

my idle animation isnt working. i set all the animation ids to my own idle anim, and set the 2 idle "animation1" and "animation2" to the animation id. Yet its still playing the starter animation. Im still unsure what the problem is
Make sure your rig is the same as the animation

That’s very weird. You did all the steps correctly. Are you sure you’re doing the animation for your character? Is the animation made for your character? If your character is R15 are you trying it on R6

Update: it was because i didnt change "Run" and only "Walk". im a fucking idiot.
