In case anyone is confused about the koopatholon, it’s basically the coinatholon mode from Mario Party Star Rush most of you completely forgot about, but not me, just keep that in mind when you talk about this.

Considering its 20 players playing at the same time Im ok with that. The reason star rush sucked because it didnt have regular boards while this one still has regular boards and the coinatholon mode is ideal to make it work for 20 players. However 20 player minigame also get triggered which looks really fun. So it seems like there is some coin collecting minigame all 20 players play at the same time and move 1 space for every coin collected and then eventually 20 player survival minigame gets triggered.

7:24 I think the corks are just cause some characters are shorter than others because you can see spike and Rosalina cut at the same time and they both were perfect
Yeah, I was about to say that, because they do that in Mario party 9 with the shorter characters standing on this little red bump so they can reach the wheel.
I know it gets a lot of hate but mario party 9 is actually a lot of fun.
Koopathon seems to be exactly like a new take on the Coinathlon mode in Mario Party Star Rush!! Hope it has a solo like campaign like that game
I'm hoping at least a arcade like one where if you win on each board you unlike one or two more. Maybe that is how the Bowser board is unlocked

To build off some of your points. The chopping veggies and ski walking minigame seem to be a part of the rhythm minigame side mode from Super Mario Party. And on the cover art, that was a skeleton key, used in Superstars and Mario Party 64 era to open gates that are previously inaccessible on the boards. Hope this helps!
I agree since the veggie cut and the Ski marching ones shown characters doing rhythms.

9:52 I forget the same but this looks VERY similar to that minigame in MP1 where you hit bricks to collect coins and 1 player gets a hammer to steal coins from players. Could we be getting a small collection of MP1 and MP2 minigames alongside the retro boards???
Super Mario Party Jamboree looks pretty cool, I never played a Mario Party game before because I didn't liked board games that much, and Mario spin offs beside Mario Kart, but this game has me interested in the series, a multiplayer family fun board game sounds nice to me. And in certain games I like mini games so I will definitely be buying this game when it releases. Also that board "Goomba Lagoon" sounds like a future Mario Kart 10 track to me
the carousel survival game just looks like plain fun to me...
I am SO hyped for the Koopathon mode, it’s a new take on the Coinathlon mode from Star Rush as people have pointed out, and that was one of my favorite parts of that game. The objective is to collect coins in mini games to move spaces on a race track, and collecting enough coins gives you items to help yourself or stall your opponents.
And the mini game where Bowser chases the 20 players is also a part of that mode, as there would sporadically be points in a round of Coinathlon where Bowser would interrupt for a Bowser Mini Game that would send anybody who doesn’t survive backwards.
The Yoshi race one also looks neat.
Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!

Peach on the box art I'm pretty sure was showing off items because the Mushroom, Boo Bell, and Skelton Key were all items in Superstars. So the seashell might be a new item.
It could be the equivalent of the chain chomp, but we shall see!!

For that mini game where you ride a Yoshi I wonder if there’ll be different colored Yoshis every time that played and it’ll be cool seeing Yoshi riding another Yoshi again

One has to wonder, will this game have any retro mini games? We're getting boards sure, but is there gonna be a mix-up here? I would hope that none of the Mini Games from Superstars are in the game, since we already have those. Same with Super Mario Party. I would like to see a lot of Motion control ones from 8, 9 and 10, because they would just work.
Considering theyre bringing back 2 retro boards and this game will have 110 minigames I think we could asume it might have some retro minigames. 110 minigames is a lot where it would require a lot of work to create 110 completely new minigames so some of them might actually be some old classics.
@@Marko-ij4vy I dont expect any retro minigames to return since we havent see a SINGLE returning minigame at all and since motion controls are returning, i cant see any of them coming back.

Some of them speculate that she and the others are unlockable. Ninji was there but wasn't seen in the group at the start.
Seeing the mushroom bumpers in that golf ball mini game, reminds me of the mini game Pinball Fall which appeared in Mario Party 9.
Prediction, some of the minigames that look like modes are called the mode mingames, and you unlock them as big minigames, and you can play a mode that lets you play these mingames
7:29 I think the wood is because goomba and spike are very small, and they can't reach the fruit, Rosalina Is very tall, and Mario normal size.

idk if someone else said this but for the minigame at 7:18 the characters are on top of various heights of corks because of the height of their model. the same thing is done in other rythm minigames in the original super mario party.

the bag the peach is holding is the item bag it was a rare item in mario party superstars and you could only get it thru the lucky space. i’m pretty sure it was in item in the shop in mario party 4 as well.
At 6:45 I was thinking that you might be able to create your own levels judging by the looks of the terrain 🤔
Plus at 9:38 I think that those items are some abilitys/collectibles that you can get in the board games.
I agree with you. It looks a bit too open for game design. This could very well be a terrain you create yourself to play in.
So if you play on switch lite or use a pro controller but not online, will motion controls still be on?
Only certain mini games will have motion control so a select few which can be turned off if you don't have a joy con or just a switch lite think of it like mic mode and mini games from Mario party 6 and 7

koopathlon is actually very similar to Mario party star rush's coinathlon mode.

This new game feels just like a dlc to the last two games. i still dislike how the game continues to show mercy to players and not make traps as menacing as they use to be in gamecube era. They need to bring back orb traps and more bowser spaces or challenging spaces to keep players engaged and take away a chunk of their resources(stars, coins, & items). Stars are too cheap to purchase from these last two games and im sure this game will keep that format. Make the stars difficult to obtain! Im sure there will be something to enjoy in the new game but the board game mode fell off in my opinion.

i think this game isn't gonna be very good. i think Mario Party Superstars was only good because of the recycled content. the boards look so plain In my opinion. hopefully I'm wrong but I won't buy it either way because money lol and I already own superstars. Nice Video. I enjoyed
