Apparently the famous Marriott Marquis in NYC has a pair of freights laid out exactly like this next to a pair of service elevators, but the difference is those appear to be on the same controller which is not common in freight elevators.
There is a restaurant in Raleigh called The Angus Barn. In the main lobby area is a working birdcage elevator. The restaurant itself has 2 floors. From what I was told the elevator was taken out of a historic building and integrated into the restaurant. The car has weird fixtures and is hydraulic. Glass has been added as originally there was only a scissor grill all the way around. It is a neat elevator and the staff of the restaurant is very friendly. I was in junior high at the time and asked historical questions about the place. Next thing I knew the owner was showing us around personally.
The address is number 1 the angus barn expressway!

yes they are. RIT has a similar elevator.
I think American "freight elevators" are more interesting than modern day British "goods lifts" although the old goods lifts are quite interesting

Yeh and all he does is make videos of inside the cars he hardly ever shows us the motor rooms on these videos that's why I unsubscribed from his channel.
