Finally found someone who provided the help i needed. Many of the other videos the spool had opening on it which the ends of the line is put into. Mine doesnt. Thank you very much
Thank you so much for this video, as a recently single girl I have to trim my edges and had the most difficult time figuring this out. You help so much. Thank you
Thanks so much for this video. Watch 3 others before I found this one. Yours is clear, quick and easy to follow and looks exactly like mine so there was no confusion and I did it with the video and was done at the end and very happy. Thanks so much. Was the perfect video and incredibly helpful 👌 👏
Just like one of the previous comments, I watched a couple of other videos before finding this one and was getting increasingly confused. The technique is simple once you know how and this video makes it very clear what to do. Thanks.
Wow, thanx a BILLION for this video. It was so frustrating to have something that I can't use. Not even the video that was send to me from the manufacturers/ distrubuters could assist me properly. All thanx to you, i am now looking forward to my lawn trimming
Thanks soooo much. I laughed so much at your comments, especially when your wire jumped loose.. I had the exact reaction.. I’ll be doing sides this weekend. Thanks soooo much!!!
I forgot the spring was missing and while I was weed earring slowly but surely it all came out and the end shot out lol. Thank you so much suck an easy demonstration will try it tomorrow!
Thanks for this. The other videos had holes in the spool, we needed to see yours with the slot. We haven't managed to get it on yet, it keeps pinging off, but we have the right instructions at least. Thanks 👍🏼
Hey thanks for this video. You just helped me out, i was in a pinch lol 😅 Was using someone else’s weed eater & didn’t know how to load line on this exact style of head. Your video was straight to the point & right on the money! 👍For that I THANK YOU!! Cheers my friend!!✌️
I know lots about the edge trimmers and weed eaters and lawnmowers and i got very very good with my knowledge about these powerful machines and i follow the general rules of thumb for the trimmer line diameter depending on the engine cc and wattage rating and the size of the motor and ja i hope to bring some back for if i start my lawn business job and I can then test them out randsnyers en grassnyers is lekker om te gebryk en ek ken baie van hulle
Thank you, you just saved my life🤣🤣🤣, I did it wrong and the spring flew out into the weeds and it took me hours to find it after I gave up on the whole thing, now let me go and re-string the whole thing again, hope to get it right this time🥰
Great video, thanks. Please also show a video of how you tap on the ground to extend the line. Currenly doing it manually despite the line being less than 3 metres. Thanks
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
At the back of the spindle are two holes 180 degrees opposite each other. These are retainer holes to prevent the gut from unrolling. Clip each end of the cut into these holes, feed it through the spinner head and give it a slight jerk to release the gut from the holes and complete the job.
This is awesome. Thank you so much for making this vid. You should be the one getting paid for the trimmer, then you decide how much to give to the so-called manufacturers. Cheers👌
At the bottom of the spool there is two notches put the bottom line in it and the top line in the other then it's easier to put the lines through the holes now you clip the top on and pull the two lines they will release and you can start cutting
Thanks for the video. I have been looking for this for a while and there are many different models but this is the same coil as the one I have. Even the website for the trimmer I have (Spear and Jackson) doesn't show you how to do this! I guess they want everyone to just but new reels already to use?
Ah I have worked it out. In the line holder channel there are two eyelets. Pass the line through one of these and then pull through until you have found the halfway length of your line. Then double the one side back and wind both together in the dirrection marked, taking care to keep it neat. Near the end hook each end into the two retaining notches. Then feed the free ends into the feeder holes on the head body, and reassemble the whole head. Then press the bump button and pull on the two lines until you hear them come out of the retainer notches and are now free to feed.
Aparently it is to hold the ends of the line while you put the spool back but I never used it. If you look way down in the comments someone does mention that. Glad to be of help.
Unfortunately whilst your video is informative to a point you are completely incorrect as you miss several most important fundamentals: 1. trimmer line is colour coded and that should be pointed out eg: orange coloured trimmer line for 1,8 mm or 2.0 mm for 1000 Watt Lawn Star weedeater (yellow for 1,2mm etc) 2. For that 1000 watt model you can load 8 meters but no more, loading 1 meter as you state is a great waste of time 3. and most importantly you should clip in the lines into slots temporally on the bottom flange, load the spool and then pull the two protruding lines to release them rather than fiddling around extensively as you show. Or watch the inferior quality Lawn Star that has no sound or commentary: ua-cam.com/video/B8kVG69UqXs/v-deo.html
Good day David. 1st of all thank you for the extra info. As you can see this video is 4 years old. When I made this I did not know anything about the trimmer. I do not use other color lines as they mean nothing to me. The orange line came with the trimmer and there for I use that. I also do not put more than 3M line on the spool as longer line melts into the roll and does not extend then. As long as my video helped out other new and first time users I will consider this video a success. But thanks again for the info. Kind regards
Haha wat I found is that if you put up too much line it gets hot and they melt together prwventing them from coming out. I put up about 3m of line devided by 2. So 1.5 per side.
Finally found someone who provided the help i needed. Many of the other videos the spool had opening on it which the ends of the line is put into. Mine doesnt. Thank you very much
Mine too...really grateful.
excellent video...had a laugh too when the string popped loose too😂
Oh crap now I've got no excuses .....thank you so much
Thank you so much for this video, as a recently single girl I have to trim my edges and had the most difficult time figuring this out. You help so much. Thank you
I have been struggling with this for way longer than i would care to admit. You are a freaking champ! Thank you so much for this!
This is the best instruction video on this subject. Thank you for producing it😄

No ways man! Where have you been all of my (gardening) life?! Thanks for this incredibly helpful video.
Thanks so much for the clear concise video! I swear, every year I have to re-learn how to do this. Worked like a charm!
My pleasure.
Finally, somebody who can help. Struggled for like almost a year. Thank you for the help.
Thank you 😊 so helpful as a first time user. Greetings from South Africa
Thanks soooo much. I laughed so much at your comments, especially when your wire jumped loose.. I had the exact reaction.. I’ll be doing sides this weekend. Thanks soooo much!!!
This video is a lifesaver for me. Thank you!
Finally I get to know how to reload the gut, thanks for coming to my rescue
My friend you are a life saver, God bless.
I forgot the spring was missing and while I was weed earring slowly but surely it all came out and the end shot out lol. Thank you so much suck an easy demonstration will try it tomorrow!
Thanks man, mine was different but got a new one which is like yours!
Thanks for this. The other videos had holes in the spool, we needed to see yours with the slot. We haven't managed to get it on yet, it keeps pinging off, but we have the right instructions at least. Thanks 👍🏼
For South Africans by a South African, thank you so much,

😂😂😂😂The f bomb when the gut slips got me
Thanks alot. Now I realise I was doing it wrong all along.
Thanks dude! Such a frustration to struggle at something stupid like winding the gut and then having to redo it again when it doesnt work right.
Thanks from Nev.

Nice video, much better than the Ryobi video. Unfortunately my spoil doesn't have the splitter in thhe middle, so still kind of stuck

Now its a f*ck up.. Learned something and had a laugh. But seriously thank you for the video..What are the holes and slits on the spool for ?🤔
Aparently it is to hold the ends of the line while you put the spool back but I never used it. If you look way down in the comments someone does mention that. Glad to be of help.
you doing it the hard way... at the bottom of the winder there are 2 small gaps where you put the string... it holds it in place so it doesnt slip
Hahah thank you. I actualy did not know that. I thaught it was broken lol. Awesome.
Dankie vir die video!
Thank you so much man
Luckely i found your video 😑, was struggling man 😂
Me too.. tomorrow going to try again 🤣
Good grief....thank you this helpd a hell of alot🌟
Thanks❤
Dankie meneer
Thanks chom
If you click to lose ends into the little slots it won’t come undone then pull hard to get them back inline
There was some magic, now you see, now you don’t with the loop at 3:05 but I think I got it.
Very helpful
I do it in the same way but mostly still a struggle when trying to feed the line by tapping on the ground. The line tightens too much and won't feed.
Try making it a 3m line. If it is too long then it gets stuck.
Thanks it helped
Dit werk dankie!
Bly om te help
Nice
dankie tog. Waardeer. Watse frustrasie.
Thank you
Can anyone help me to unlock so I can change the strig
This moddel jyst reqire you to push the clips in by hand and pull the cover off. Not sure how your mechanism works.
Dankie... ;)
Baie Dankie
Gloo my dit lyk maklik🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mooi man

Afrikaans is n mooi. Hehehe
damn mine keeps coming loose 😭
it good news
I'm winding in direction of arrows and it never taps out properly. I always have to pull out manually. Designer needs to be sued for torment.

@@CriPtZoNe im wondering if oiling would help
Never tried it before. With all the dust it might make it worse.
@@CriPtZoNe im gonna also try making a blade attachment rather than use string
Temu ad🙄
