big fan since day one ! used to book them in Paris at Zig Zag club ! was at their very debut .. the show was amazing and we had lots of fun ! very nice guys !! thxx for the studio tour
So glad I watched this! A Proper timely reminder there are people who still make music for the love of music the joy it brings them and those who listen. Big UPS Quinn!!
In a world of hyper edited and styled synth videos this guys comes along and totally owns them all! So refreshing to hear he is actually also too lazy to patch a synth through another synth sometimes 😅
I've seen so many of these sorts of videos over the years - by a mile this is the best, most entertaining, most real that I've ever watched. Totally inspiring, and clearly a man who loves making music!
Playing your first record out in Berlin in 2012 and seeing the dance floor go off is one of favourite dj memories. Seeing in the studio makes me like you even more x
what a great character, he reminds me of a friend who comes around my studio for a jam on occasions and always laughs his head off when we get a cool groove going, love it
cut - beer materialises in hand and more entertaining messing around. Love it! Quinn, how about a youtube channel that regularly shares more clips like this? Can even just be a bit of streaming? No one explores your classic style on here. I learned a lot of useful stuff today. Cheers!
Don't usually "it me" when it comes to these videos but I definitely feel the vibes when jamming (and forgetting to have recording buffer running when the good bits come out :D )
Very nice. Gonna try this on my outputs, mashing it through more gear. And use more sequencers. The dark time never gets any love. That s gonna change 😎
Doesn't look like anything I imagined eating glue producer would look like, but after a couple of seconds of watching... it does make sense. I bet his sharts sound like proper 303 basslines. fucken legend.
Haha last week i tried all the time to get my 808 hats sound like pl. Today i googled and found an old article where the feeding in the ms-20 and some other techniques were described. I tried it out and it's so dope. So many possibilities of giving my sounda this dirty warmth. And now this plops up in my yt recommendations 😂
"Producers" hate to admit it, but this is exactly how all good music was made. From "mucking about" with the first thigh bone flute in a cave 40.000 years ago, until today. Not a "techno rumble sample pack" in sight! 🫡
Loved it, though a pity the MS20 didn't fire up, and for my money the Sherman on the top shelf was in its natural environment just screaming to be unleashed. Their tracks just have such a raw and punky sound. No airs or graces necessary.
What’s he doing at the end? Recording his live playing of the pro one then using the rim of the 808 to trigger it in ableton? Never thought about doing that in Live.
You would indeed expect that he did on a live audio signal coming in ableton. You probably can use it for syncing - as people did it back in the day pre midi era. He used it for his already recorded audio, so he can control the attack and release? Never knew about this trick. Great video.
time stamps if you need:
0:18 cigarette track
5:53 beer track
😂😂😂😂😂
HA
Not a single cactus in sight!
😂😂😂 👌
Quinn is the anti-influencer. I love it.
😅😅😅
Thank God! 😂

Yep. Quinn is by far the most interesting and relatable personality in our world that I've discovered in the recent past.
The music is fantastic
Absolute fucking ledge ❤
i love it, JUST MUCK ABOUT ! every musician should do this. I love his vibe/approach so real
So glad I watched this! A Proper timely reminder there are people who still make music for the love of music the joy it brings them and those who listen. Big UPS Quinn!!
The most genuine and quality bloke in the scene, big up Quinn ❤

Reminds me of the Riton vid. V good.
my thoughts exactly
Listening wirh a Sony MDR-XB910. The 808 sounds evil.
sick this, mad that he's only 22
Smoking ages people 😂
He is kidding you. I guess around 50@@Bonn5656
😂😂😂
He was a few year above Luke Littler at school
I still think he is about 50.
“Just muck about” and kills it. Deeply talented guy but very modest.
this dude needs his own youtube channel! ❤😍

Genius! Awesome music and they have a ton of fun while making it.
PL is my favourite dance music band, one of the best live shows I've ever been to period and Quinn is now my favourite person in the whole scene
“So there this drum machine that has an amazing kick drum and snare drum..” *points to one of the most legendary drum machines of all time*
OMG I LOVE THIS! WAS WAITING FOR THE GUYS TO DO A TUTORIAL ON HOW THE GET THEIR SOUND AND HERE IT IS!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 The Universe heard my prayers 😝😝😝
Fantastic video. All you need is a groove and a synth. Less is more.
This is phenomenal. Pure creativity...solving problems with soundcard and brokend synths like a real bedroom producers :)
what a great character, he reminds me of a friend who comes around my studio for a jam on occasions and always laughs his head off when we get a cool groove going, love it
this is SO refreshing to see, this is what it's all about!

PL = One of the best. Quality “in the studio” sesh.
Unpretentious and talented. Great stuff ✊🏼
A gracious and generous tour. Super interesting.
Don't usually "it me" when it comes to these videos but I definitely feel the vibes when jamming (and forgetting to have recording buffer running when the good bits come out :D )
More Quinn!
Love this!!!
How can you not love this ❤
i look at him and i know for sure he had some of the best tabs in the galaxy at some sketchy wearhouse in the 90's and i'm so here for it
Mad lad 😃 liking that stuff, nothing beats a real 808
Great video! lol with Quinn in the studio! Hope to see you soon, all the best 🙌🏽

Korg Monotron Delay Cheap as chips - like 50 euro cheap.
I could watch this guy "fuckin' arround" with his machines forever... ❤
Can we jut see videos of this guy doing shopping and stuff like that aswell?
fuck yeah quinn youre a legend
A new star is born.
Very nice. Gonna try this on my outputs, mashing it through more gear. And use more sequencers. The dark time never gets any love. That s gonna change 😎
Wow what a trip :)
Love it. I want a beer now after watching this
Literally just fuck about and have fun that's what music is about ❤
Doesn't look like anything I imagined eating glue producer would look like, but after a couple of seconds of watching... it does make sense. I bet his sharts sound like proper 303 basslines. fucken legend.

Fun fact: roll ups make you a better producer
It's good for the equipment!
Roll ups give you yellow fingers n teeth like he has, how lovely 🤡
you sound like a crusty@@koncreteto2758
I love this guy. I’d love to smoke with him and fuck around in the studio. Prob fantastic dude to work on a track with
Love it.
What is that effect he’s using on drums? Belter
He’s a cool guy to
there is a plugin by Korg called Spaceship Delay ... it's supposed to be based on the Monotron thing he was using
What a name paranoid london

Humans are amazing creatures
Epic, no bullshit , just working it out in his studio.

Pure gold
so when come episode two and three of this at least 10 episode series?
Excellent
I fcking love this due and the new album is 🔥.
I am in love )))

The rimshot opens a gate to let the signal of the sampled Pro One through.

Holy fuck! You are an insane individual, mister!
I love this video
2:05 what are these effects..
Korg monotron delay. He's running drum machine output through the wee box.
Sorry, did he guff just after sparking up?
Dopeness :)
