I had a chance of meeting him alongwith another "giant who walked this earth" Ustad Rais Khansaab with talented "Guruma" Bilqees Khannum, we were in Pune, shooting a documentary on Khansaab, thought of visiting the ailing maestro, Bhabiji, looked at his temple and remarked "itna uchha hai, khud Bhagwan/Khuda se baat kar sakté hain" true moksha only through such divine music! Am sure Khansaab Rais Khansaab is jamming with Panditji in Indra's durbar, after all these were all gandharvas' who walked this earth with the purpose of alleviating us....normal humans. Kya baat hai. Anna, you were and will be unmatched for many many generations to come.

Sir, you were fortunate and blessed to have met and shared some great moments with the Pandi ji. During my post-graduation at Mysore, I was in the Palace, sat closely when Bhimanna enthralled a huge gathering on Dasara festival celebration time
What a brilliant rendering of Shuddha Sarang! Undoubtedly the unparalleled singer of 20th century. Will 21st century produce one ? With गुरू शिष्य परम्परा dying out, it seems doubtful.

My friends adorn my beloved's, Manaranga's, neck with garlands of flowers || Manaranga is the nom-de-plume of the composer Bhupat Khan. It translates to 'one who enchants the mind.'
