This is so beautiful! When I heard it at the end of The Volcano documentary, I had to find it in itunes to add to my playlist. Teek’s voice is so beautiful!
Exactly the same for me! Literally in tears with the emotion of the song and documentary. God bless the survivors and those who devastatingly lost their lives ❤
The older I get the harder it seems to finish singing this song cos you feel the pain you felt for everyone you've had to sing it for in the past. A song that sums up a lifetime of love and loss.
I really love the maori version. I'm not maori but NZ is my home and if were to ever leave this place, I would really miss maori culture and people in general.
The most beautiful hymn ever written or sang,… I sang my daddy into Heaven with this his favourite hymn !! He was welcomed into Heaven mere seconds later by Jesus whom he loved served and followed all his life 11th July 2010 5am the day my heart was broken forever but the fact I will spend eternity with him again it’s….See ya later Daddy ….❤
I read an article today, about the late politician Nikki Kaye, and it mentioned this song as being one of her favorite. A beautiful and wonderful woman, there will possibly not be another like her. The reason I voted National in 2011 for the first time. Rest At Peace. ❤
This has been my all-time favorite Gospel song since I was five years old (I'm in my sixties now); I heard it for the very first time, when my favorite Auntie played her piano and sang it to me. She's gone Home now.⛅ I just heard this rendition at the end of the Netflix program about the volcano; just the first three notes, and I burst into tears, 'cause I knew exactly what it was. I wept for missing my Auntie; I wept for the people who had suffered life-altering injuries; I wept for those who had succumbed, and those who grieve the loss of their loved ones. This piece of music was the most excellent, beautiful, fitting tribute to them that could possibly be offered up. Thank you for this wonderful Gift.💗
I have a similar story. I'm a 43 year old Scottish woman, and this song/hymn reminds me of going to Chapel with my grandparents - I was raised Catholic, so it was a very big part of my childhood. As soon as I heard those first notes at the end of the documentary, I was in floods of tears. So devastated for everyone that had passed, was injured, or just affected by that tragedy... but also missing my wonderful grandparents. My grandad passed away in 2003, and my nana in 2014... They helped raise me. I'm so grateful for the time I had with them, that I wanted to sing along in English, but I am rather ill with flu! I will be singing this at the top of my lungs as soon as I'm able ❤ Thank you for sharing your story. It's so nice to remember and share these experiences, all while honouring the people affected by the volcano disaster 🙏
Glory to God almighty our heavenly father our creator and his son Jesus and the holy spirit 6:17 i ask you God to guide us and protect us and to bless those with faith and hope father in Jesus name amene
I've always loved this song ever i was a little girl. I've heard many versions, which were also beautiful.. but STILL none touched me so deeply as THIS one. It makes me cry....for many reasons, but also because these singers sing it SO incredibly beautiful.
The entire documentary of The Volcano tragedy, everything comes together in this song I've listened to breathlessly. There's no words, just this immaculate song.
