-IU want it to be “light & simple song that you can hum along to when you’re chatting, eating, studying etc in daily life .”
-she writes the lyrics and co-composes it
-she said this is “couple song” of Eight, bcs Eight’s theme is “orange sun” and “lethargy”, meanwhile “strawberry moon” ‘s theme is “love and energy”
-intentionally released in midnight bcs it’s the time of fullmoon
-however, midnight release is unconventional in S.Korea nowadays. IU's song wont show up on the charts even after 8 hours since it has been released. Most listeners listen to new music that is seen in the chart ranking; therefore, singers who release their songs at 12 AM will be at a loss.
-regardless of that, strawberry moon still killed the charts in the afternoon (real time all kill)
