Great video. I've been looking at picking up a 185 in the future. The styling and color reminds me of my 15-125 of the same era. Just great machines. Thanks for this information.

Glad you enjoyed this video Mike, and depending on how far in the future you're looking at getting a 185....I have a 185K available now! :)

@@CowCountryVintageSewingRepair Sounds good. I will let you know, although the shipping to California will be a bit much. Do you have a online store by chance?

Shipping the 185K to California Mike, would only be about $75, depending on what zone you're living in...Considering weight and distance, that's not a bad price.

The unique serial number placement I mentioned in the PREMIER was for the 285J, which is on the RIGHT SIDE of the machine, just below where the motor mounts. The 185J, 185K and the Spartan all have their serial numbers located on the front underside of the machine, just below the bed surface in the middle. Sorry if my remarks created any confusion. :)

My husband made a base for my 185J out of oak.

Very Cool, UpCountryNana, if he wants to make additional ones, let me know. I'll help promote his product on my UA-cam Channel. :)

@@CowCountryVintageSewingRepair Sorry, but he doesn't do woodworking for anyone but family.
