During this period good Qaries were rare; however , Qari Basit Sb; took the recitation' s sweetness & melodiousness to the climax. These days majority of the qaries followed his style. Merciful Allah may provide him lofty position n " JANAT UL FIRDOOS". Ameen

Not at all ,reciters have enchanted and delighted their listeners before and during are brother Abdul Basit R. A time and till are present day .This particular recitation was taught to brother abdul basit by his teacher .We must be aware that some of his recitations went out of the boundaries of the rules of tajweed and we must learn to teach our mind and soul to adhere and understand the message of the holy Quran that is being read or recited ,not just a wonderful voice of any particular reciter .We must have qualified Quranic teachers that are experienced to teach us the rules of reading Quran so we may distinguish between which recitation is approved by our prophet s.a.w.s and our religious scholars ,hence benefiting us in a miraculously and spiritually way ,unlike anything in this universe . May Allah reward our brother Abduallh Basit and forgive him and us for our shortcomings and grant him and us paradise ,Amen.

@@pricemaker728Dear Mr. Rancher; this may b n ur knowledge that melodious recitation is highly liked & attentively listened by Almighty Allah. Though for Al-knowing Allah; there is no need of any attention or non- attention, but the thing is, it is the "KALAM" of Allah & Allah has infinite love for His "KALAM". U may b also aware of this fact that once the Prophet (PBUH) was listening to Abu Musa Ashaari 's recitation for quite long time during night time, because of his sweet voice. In the morning the companions of the Prophet(PBUH) told Abu Musa R. A that last night the Prophet(PBUH) liked ur recitation too much. N response Abu Musa replied that Alas! if i was knowing this that the Prophet(PBUH) was listening to me; i would have continued it till morning.
Similarly take the example of Prophet Dawood A.S, & the Holy Prophet (PBUH) n Jannat, Allah will ask them for recitation, owing to the chanting & sweet voices. Allah Himself would recite Sura Rahman (unimaginable voice).
Last, but not the least Masha Allah; most of the Qaries are well versant with the meaning & Tafseer of the Holy Quran. So much so that even Abu Jehal along with others used to come surrepticiousely to listen to the recitation of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) n the darkness of night.
For further information: "The best creature on the surface of earth, r those , who read Quran & teaches it to others".
Finally I would urge u to pray to Almighty Allah for this sinful person to forgive our sins n grant us even a servant room n Janna; which would b billion times acceptable to me. Allah may give u bounteous rewards. Aameen.
