That loud "BLOOP" menu navigation sound being enabled by default used to drive me insane on the other H700 lineup (of course, it's easy to disable, but still). Glad to see they updated it to something a lot more tolerable.
Anbernic was killing it this year! Outside of a 3:2 Handheld there's nothing else Anbernic can do with the H-700 chipset. Let's hope next year we'll see RK3576 and RK3588 Handhelds.
I agree that leds have been made a standard by accident in handhelds. I’d rather have bt, WiFi, and rumble. If the 28xx has rumble any handheld can have it. I know some people don’t like rumble. I’d like to see some more sub $100, 3566 or 3326, 6-8 in screens for people who can’t see as well. The ones they make now aren’t really good and firmware isn’t good.
13:00 You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of what's going on. There is a heatsink and fan because the cube has a much more powerful CPU and GPU, NOT because it runs on android.
Not many handhelds grab my attention these days, but this one is tempting. Sounds like it would be a great replacement for my RGB30. I agree with you about the LED's though. They're just annoying.
Pretty sure the RGB thing is a you issue. Honestly, just shut them off if you dislike them beglad they gave you the option. Otherwise, it's an option for people who want more customization. Hell, I refuse to have RGB on my PC other than my keyboard which I only keep in one color so it's easier to see in low light, but I'm not gonna say people shouldn't have the option if they want it.
Even though I love the fact that we have choices now, Anbernic is doing too much. This is such an unnecessary product. Just get the 35xxH or the SP. this was an unexpected and unnecessary handheld
@@dean_dv instead of them producing different devices of the same chip set they could have done a better job tweaking the battery issue or other minor gripes like software updates etc. Honestly this is a complete was of money.
@JJZZ-b6l That's your opinion, the H has a bunch of issue plus it's not comfortable. I tried 2 and sent them both back. The included software doesn't worry me as within a few weeks MUOS and other CFW will be available.
Never had a square screen device before. That's what I said to my wife to justify the purchase.
Ha. If only you were joking. Alas, it's actually true!
😂
Loved the Cube and I have a feeling I'm going to love this one. Just ordered it!! Great video
you meant to call the shoulder buttons digital, not analog.

D-pad up top makes sense for the power in this machine
You can press to r1 and l1 to change the led color faster and you can mute that menu sound.
underrated that this one has a bigger battery than other handhelds from the XX line too
That's a very fair point actually. I always forget to test battery life on these devices because they tend to last.
And this device is basically the nail in the rgb30 coffin 😂. Great review sir
@@cho-v4n I dunno man, Mainline Linux really helps with N64, PSP, and Dreamcast Emulation.
I think I'm going to experiment more with the RGB30 now that I have the CubeXX. Like those joysticks need to go.
Gotta try Batocera on the Retroid Pocket Mini.
Is the same or better chip than the rgb30?
RGB30 has native support for Syncthing. I bought this to replace my RGB30 and had to go back.
I like the LED's, particularly with lots of customization options (and an Off option).
I'm confused about the color. Some videos show it DMG grayish, other show it almost brown, like the Powkiddy V10. Which color is it really?
great vid, sent to a buddy telling him to get this device
Tôi nên lựa chọn RG40XXH hay RG CubeXX vậy?

With Linux Support?
@@geekgo4 Linux Support would be more preferable.

I really wanted to love this device. But a lack of Syncthing compatibility is a no-go for me. Wish I could return it.
The shoulder buttons are digital as in a binary choice of on or off (0,1)
Yeah my bad on that one.
@TeamRetrogue im wrong about something everyday! I dont like repeating mistakes when someone could just let me know.
Thanks for the review!
@@MikeVideos327 Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. 😀
@@TeamRetrogue bought this partially becuase of your review. Thanks for the coverage!
Digital are the triggers that are either on or off, analogue triggers should allow you more range.
Is that the Magic of Scheherazade on the wall back there?

Can I use my sd card I already have formatted from my rg40xxh in this device.
Nice review. Thanks. I am going miyoo mini plus and eventually a y700 tablet with gamesir controller
OnionOS on the Miyoo is amazing, I've tried all manner of devices and firmware but keep coming back to the Miyoo as it just works.
The triggers are not analog.
Dads treat themselves to the Cube.
You problem, lol. I love the RGB lighting. And it seems really minor in the cost department honestly.

It is unacceptable for them to launch this console with an HDMI input and the normal RG Cube does not support HDMI input

They designed it so they did it on purpose
If the chipset is less powerful than the RK3566 , i wouldnt buy it.
u need muOS my friend!

I've ordered it and I know others have too, it's a better version of the RGB30 which is exactly what many people wanted.
@@dean_dv it is still useless though.
