  • On today's episode of 'Testing Vintage' we try out the Hair Grip Ring Comb from the Kin Hip Metal and Plastic Company established in 1949. This ring comb is from the 1950s and is a pretty tortoise shell comb that is supposed to aid you in various vintage hair styles. I attempt three styles with a few bumps along the way and not all of them I would actually leave the house in.
Come along for a pinup beauty adventure and see how many vintage and beauty styles we can master!

I had one in the 90s. I could never get it to work.

They still hair clips like them today and I don't know why. I think they sell those clips as an easy way to make a ponytail. I personally find most normal hair accessories work better than those clips do.
