I would respectfully disagree. Remember that the original version of this suite is for violin with orchestra, so the melodic lines in the piano, imitating the figuration in the woodwinds, needs to be heard. In fact, i personally think the balance is ideal--- too often the movement just sounds like a mad scramble of violin virtuosity without any semblance of melody present. And the tempi for the gorgeous 2nd movt and the vigorous finale both seem perfect--- not too fast in the 3rd movt to obliterate Sinding's careful Tempo Giusto marking... I heartily endorse the diaposon D'OR award given.^^
