I love how the trainer was coming back at him with the pads! You don't see too many trainers today do that with the fighters. It's like they're only trying to make them look good for ig
Keith will suprise all haters just like Mayweather use too. Do not sleep on this Guy.. Keith can take punches as well. He took manny's style and punches, and that says a lot.
If he keeps punching and not bringing his glove back his chin, Tim's going to parry and counter him to death. Keith is also not stepping with his front foot in the jab - which makes it even easier to time him and counter. Especially when he throws his right cross, his hand ends up down near the right hip of his opponent. His athleticism and speed won't be enough against Tim this bout.
Good to see Dan Birmingham pad stye being maintained somewhat. Good job . Who is his trainer now ? Small addition would be to challenge keiths defense a bit more and add more pressure but he did well
I think Tszyu's training is going to consist of training how to cut off the ring in which Tim's dad did well against Judah. Even though Thurman"s movement is still a litlle different from Judah. Thurman has better lateral movement. They are most likely going to try to pin him in
Tim loves timing the lateral movement and countering with a right hook - where he catches them with their guard down and chin exposed - and off balance. Tim uses his length well and I don't think Thurman will be able to adjust. His old habits will be his downfall as he's not athletic enough anymore to rely on his reflexes and speed.
I want to see him working on more of a jab too. I don't know that he's going to come to stay right in the kitchen with Tim for the entire fight. It'll be interesting if he does. I think he has enough power to get the respect from Tim. We will see. I'm going for Keith.
The way he fights doesn’t make him look good when hitting pads. He actually looks quite like a beginner. Hands are not up, upper body movement and footwork not in sync. Strange….. But, we all know he’s a killer in the ring. Just an observation.
I agree I dont like to see them train without defense or defence sloppy, throws right drops left at waist, boom right counter. He would also be in a grueling grind stage of camp before the taper and peaking so that can make him look a little flat, good luck to him he needs to fight his perfect fight and to be in great shape, conditioning is so important for Keith in this one.
Exactly. Only a casual would think what we just watched was world class. There are so many rookie things wrong with this pad work that it's hard to begin to explain them. Tim is going to murder him.
That’s the way Thurman always fights. His timing is odd but he gets away with it. He will disrupt a fighter and that’s what he’s going to do to Tszyu who’s going to be missing all night.
For Tzsyu thurman does not wanna rely on catching punches on his arms that opponent he is facing is a power puncher if he relys on catching punches on his arms his arms will tire out fast and his punch abilities might diminish , so make sure with the mitts thurman is rolling under hooks and coming up with combos and at range have him work on head control , and stiff presise jabs to his opponents body and head , that guy thurman is facing is like a marcos madiana type guy in close thurman is gunna have to back that opponent up at times and i do not think thurmans opponent can fight backing up , also make sure thurman never chases the guy make sure he cuts the ring off instead , also make sure thurman is eating carrots for eye health , drinking cranberry juice and green tea for kidney health and eating walnuts for liver health , i wanna see thurman get a big win
@@willielong2026 not this much. He's looking like an out of shape rookie light heavyweight the way he's throwing and moving his feet. A few pounds doesn't slow you down that much - especially if you keep fit. He looks terrible here and I really hope he picks it up before the bout.
While he does look much slower he’s not in fight shape yet, who knows how tired he already his, and at least his punches are coming out much more fluid now. Elbow surgery might have worked
Keith was my favorite boxer but is it more or has he lost a few steps? He’s punching more flat footed and not using his body motion. Hope it’s just me.
Yep. That's how you beat the athletic slick US style. You don't react the way they are used to by backing off and circling back into rang to reset for another attack - instead, you punch when they are punching using a strong parry and counter style and maintaining a pressure distance so they can't dance around and reset like they are used to. Tim has perfected the art of beating this 'finessing' US style and he's getting better and better at it each fight.
Not going to lie it’s going to be a sad night in boxing when Thurman gets beat down come fight night cause Thurman used to be one of my favorite fighters. Really hope he can pull this off tho.
@Recoates He's just going through the motions for this video. You don't actually believe that Thurman is putting the pedal to the metal do you? Or, maybe you do. Hope Timmy doesn't think that.
His footwork is completely off and his punches finish down at his waist. His hands never go back to his chin and his punches are pretty sluggish at this point. I hope he's getting some hard sparring in, because we all know that Tim flogs everyone in sparring and he goes hard at it right up until fight eve.
The first 2-3 rounds will seem tight as Tim gets his range and timing in - and Thurman will slow a bit. Once we get into the middle rounds, Tim will walk him down and Thurman's corner or the Ref will stop the fight. Thurman won't quit.
he needs to put more snap on them punches like he used to do... i have noticed since the Josesito Lopez fight. Thurman don't punch hard like he used to do. I'm not blind👊
Yep I agree. His footwork is planted and there's no coordination with his lead foot and jab. And a few times in this vid, he's swung his back leg around when throwing the right hook - if he does this in the fight, Tim's going to catch his badly each time Thurman tries to engage and throw a combo. And if Thurman can't tie up and clinch, he's gonna have no where to go. Timmy likes to not allow the clinch and is very good at keeping his opponent in the danger zone.
People on here act like they know everything. He's doing this wrong. He's doing that wrong. Y"all don't know jack!! This guy only has one defeat in his career. He lost to one of the greatest boxers in boxing. How many of you can say that? Y'all don't know JACK!!!
@qbrown8753 Put a 12 round beating on Barrios for a guy that doesn't punch hard. And, Barrios, a big puncher never hurt Thurman. Thurman is a lot tougher than many people think and they usually find this out after the first ring bell goes off.
Inactivity is a killer of older fighters. Keith has disrespected boxing for years. He's going to get badly hurt this time. Tszyu isn't what he thinks he is.
@jamiesaunders1819 Hmmmmmmm. Funny. Against some of the hardest punchers in the business Thurman has only been down 1 time in 31 fights a flash knockdown against one of the best fighters in the world. Tszyu is nothing that Thurman hasn't seen many times before. Keep dreaming.
Keith putting in light work. Not letting everything out the bag.
He better be quicker than this against Tszyu if he’s gonna have a chance .
He always does this. He only ever shows videos of him in a low gear in training.
The body is not meant to be jn high gear everyday during every session.
'Leads into the back foot and snaps hard!'
exactly just simple
